The power is off here in Plai Laem - since 9am.

Anyone else off, or is it only us?

Bangrak fine.:D (He said in a non-gloating way. More a "please not us again" way really.)

Bophut, out for the last 45 minutes so far biggrin.gif

So the electric system can't even survive a little shower.

It could be a long old november! :)

Lasted about an hour. It might have been with all the lightning strikes. Funny enough though when we had these severe wind gusts, not outages at all, as before a strong breeze would have caused an outage.

@ hours 8.20 to 10.15 last night in Bophut. On the postive side watched the garden light up with fireflies.

Mae Nam likewise - but no fireflies. Had all the nearby teenagers sitting on their balconies yelling at each other long-distance from house to house instead. Can't understand why any of them bother with phones . . . ;)

So - no big winds and no storms.

No power last night in Plai Laem for a while, and again, no power this morning. :(

Does anyone know what is going on?

Was out for dinner there last night. A lorry thundered through with a huge digger loaded on the back, scraping the trees and power lines as it went. I thought that we were in for a power cut, and guess what?

Maybe they were driving it back again this morning?:whistling:

We (Prermier Sports Bar) had a power cut in Bangrak 10 minutes before the 10pm football matches started,,,, good job our generator is working perfect. Otherwise there could have been a marauding mob of angry footy fans roaming the dark streets looking for somthing to do.

It also helped all the couch potatos get out n about. rather than roast at home with no electric.

On that note - it's encouraging that there seem to be a lot of fireflies around this year. We have quite a lot up here in Plai Laem too.

:offtopic: sorry

Mind you. If I put enough of them in a jar - save on batteries maybe?

Amazing, with all the high winds & rain just a 5 second glitch in the past 2 days.

Not even a flicker here, so far... but the telly keeps fading during the heaviest down pours.... wacko.png

Back of Wat Lamai this year so far has been off about 3/4 times, the 1st January, off in the morning and again in the afternoon. The night of 1/2nd Jan off again. Last night 2 phases way down on power, and still so. Happy new year Samui electric.
