2Nd And 3Rd Extension Dual Entry Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

It is my understanding that a dual entry tourist visa can be extended for each entry in addition to the 1st 30 day extension, a 2nd time for 14 days and a 3nd time for 7 days. Can anyone pls confirm? Thank you!

I hate to risk my life in busses going to the border, so money is not the issue :-)

I think wrong - I ave heard that the 1st 30 day can be extended by 7 if proof of travel is shown but never heard confirmation of this jap.gif

30 days only for each entry although you might be given 7 days to leave the country with proof of an air ticket.

However, if you want to just stay an extra few days once the 30-day extension has expired, you can go back to immigration, do the same process again, pay another 1,900 baht and, this time, will probably receive another extension, but only for 15 days. This can be repeated one more time, for another 7 days, but then you will be required to leave the country and, at 1,900 baht per time, it's often cheaper just to leave the country and apply for a second tourist visa in a neighboring country.

Thanks!

With all due respect their information seems to be wrong. jap.gif Try it and lets us know what happens - c u on the bus whistling.gif

Actually that information was wrong when posted in 2009 and is wrong now. There is no 15 day extension of stay allowed on a tourist visa entry by any immigration office and the 7 days is actually an under consideration that is not approved. Many years ago they did provide 14/15 days. Not today.

With all due respect what are your sources? Seems to be wrong does not sound too convincing...

Will ask next time I am at immigration. Finally decided to add a visa run by visiting another country by airplane and get a 30 day stamp, and then start my dual entry tourist visa. I have 2 (legal) passports so that should work.

Thanks for all the answers is this thread!

It appears you have it all worked out why waste your time with a post here.

Have you done that yourself? If so, I'd be grateful if you scanned and posted the relevant stamps in your passport:

  1. tourist visa
  2. arrival stamp
  3. 30-day extension
  4. 15-day extension
  5. 7-day extension
  6. departure stamp

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
