Honda To Build Over 400Cc Models

Featured Replies

That's cool. I would take a 600 Hornet before a ER6, and if at a fair price it would worth not saving for a small Ducati.

Also a XR650 L at 250,000 B or less would be certainly interesting here, but I couldn't resist a XR650R if they decided to make em again.

AP Honda announced it last August, though no news on what actual bikes they will be producing.

They do a lot of talking so maybe one of em will be called a " Windblade ". :D

Maybe they'll build their lame new scooter-cycle series, the NC 700 in Thailand?

Comes in three "flavors" with the "Integra" being the most hideous-

Looks like a PCX beaten with an ugly stick, doesn't it?

You'd have thought Honda had learned their lesson after the monumental failure of the DN-01, but nope, apparently they're going to give their "scooter-cycle" concept another try...

Looks like a motorcycle, but look closer and you discover it's actually a scooter, minus all the conveniences of a real scooter... Or as the marketing guys try to spin it, "Motorcycle performance, scooter accessibility"...

Wait, do they pay people to design ugly stuff like this?

Rumors have it that the first bike over 400cc to come out of Thailand will be the Dream450 -fi, which uses the same engine design as the Honda Fireblade. Initially it will be available in two colors, "pretty pink" and "passionate purple"...

Options include a front basket, top box, and mag wheels...

:cheesy:

laugh.gif Looks good, but they'll probably ruin it by sticking on some f-ugly fairings and using a detuned engine from the CRF450. Then they can market it as a sportsbike with "More 'usable' torque for real world driving" laugh.gif

Seriously though - I can't say I'm particularly excited by this news. With the exception of the CBR600RR and CBR1000RR which won't be made here anyway - Honda's latest road bikes are pretty dull, so much so that they'd struggle to seem attractive even in the neutered Thai market.

Still crossing my fingers for a locally made dual sport / motard from Honda...
