We have reclaimed Teak and other hardwoods which we want to mill into boards for flooring and wall.

Are the machines required to do this millwork restricted?

That is, a thickness planer and a jointer are the machines.

I am being told that they can only be operated at factories that are registered as sawmills.

Any advice on where to locate the machines and as to whether they must be registered would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Not as far as I know not around here in Sukhothai.

Again not as far as I know we have cut down and cut into plank eucalyptus trees.

There are many wood operators building furniture and preparing wood for all types of things about, best mention where you are located maybe someone can point you in the right direction.

What do you actually have that is "reclaimed"? If it's already been used in construction, then the best course would be to use it as is. Don't know where you live, but good luck finding a proper saw mill - they are rare in LOS.
