Featured Replies

Hello All,

I am looking to buy The DeWalt range of Battery operated powertools,Drill,Grinder, saw, etc.

My plumber mate in Oz has asked me to price / buy and bring back on my return this month.

I have looked on their web site no office in Thailand.

Also had a look at a couple of Stores,Homepro and DoHome.

In my area BuriRam & Surin

Any tips clues where to look????????

Cheers

A couple of years ago there was a dedicated dewalt shop in bkk out on sukhumvit near the bus station. Can't confirm if it's still there.

Thank you Farma

I have been searching for weeks with a very ,very slow internet.

Cheers

Great products but I would be wary buying a product that can not be serviced locally.

In Buriram an authorized dealer for DeWALT power Tools is Ruangsangthai. That family owned Buriram Tool and Water Pump business is an ACS for DeWALT, but not listed yet on the web page. If you bring a genuine Dewalt Power Tool (corded or cordless) to the Ruangsangthai shop they have the parts and staff to fix it for free if it is still under the warranty (and you have a copy of the warranty or registration of the warranty or a store receipt) and for a fee they can fix it if it is no longer under warranty. They have fixed my older Talon Hammer Power Drill and a Maktec Cordless drill. My DeWALT chop Saw has never needed servicing, but family members have given it a real testing. The policy at Ruangsangthai on DeWALT Power Tools that have a serious repair issue (or requires a major component) is to send it Bangkok for that level of repair, but to not charge the store customer the transport fee.

I would like to believe other independent tool merchants in Isaan work with similar customer service policies. Ruangsangthai must sell a serious amount of DeWALT Power tools as the owner rides a DeWALT Mountain Bike and they have the DeWALT Authorized Service Center ACS sign along side the Makita Service Center Sign.

Are you saying you want to buy them in Thailand and take them back to Oz? I saw various DeWalt power tools in GlobalHouse last month and to be honest, they weren't very cheap. I have actually ended up doing the opposite and taking my power tools into Thailand.

If I lived in Australia, a DeWALT Power Tool bought in Thailand would not be high on my list to include in Luggage. If I already owned a Power Tool with the same electricity as Thailand, I would consider bringing that power tool TO Thailand. The original Op wanted to price DeWALT for a friend, for possible purchase in Buriram or Surin Province. I did MY reply really to Post #5 as it was my observation that Buriram had at least one ACS for DeWALT power tools and I would not have bought the DeWALT Chop Saw I own if I had any hesitation on after the sales service and parts.
