3 down 7 to go... Waste of review by Root... Davie Warner giving him a bit of stick as well...

Perhaps he thought they owed him one!

Sorry mate, it doesn't work like that outside the sub-continent.

Broad to the rescue!

Hahahah... is the pitch wheel chair friendly?

I think the wheels would get stuck in one of those cracks.

What are the odds for England to draw this test and to win in Melbourne and Sydney?

England $15 for a draw this game...

Stokes is cracking on...they could be playing for a win here. $35-

Edit: England gone from $51 in to $31 for a win now w00t.gif

How the hell do you boat people work out bets? $31 ?

It's called abbreviation my good sir... Shortening of the sentance and all that...

Allow me to put it into a complete context for you: For an investment of $1, your potential return should the mother country win, would be somewhere in the vicinity of $31.

Clearly you haven't come from a shady family like the rest of us?

Those long boat trips allowed for plenty of time to devise betting systems.biggrin.png

Ah, I see.

Over here we'd simply say 31 to 1.

A good point just made by Blowers and Glenn McGrath on TMS.

Things would be a lot different if England had taken their chances in the field.

To win a test match you have to take 20 wickets.

If England had taken all their chances, they'd only need 20 chances.

But they haven't, and if a team needs 25, 26, 27 or more chances in order to take those 20 wickets then it makes the task that more difficult, if not impossible.

Bell and Stokes steadying the ship. 206 for 4; another 298 needed

If from here the last 6 can average 50 each, then England win.

Big if, though.

Simply? 31 to 1 is 4 syllables, 31 (the "Australian way") is 2, how is the english way simple :P

The odds have just shortened a hell of a lot.

No we wouldn't .30/1 @ £1 = £30 +£1 bet = £31
