Was it the first 380 into SFO If not, why the waterworks? Oh, hold on..just realised, must have been to give the swimming pool effect as the pilot sprints to get his towels down on the best gate

Yes , it is exciting to watch. What surprises me that the pilots switch between languages Engl/ Germ. I would have thought on board the pilots would always speak English only. Simply because under stress situations the likelihood that one falls back into the native language, i.e. , risk of misunderstandings is greater.

Nice videos.

Great airline Lufthansa, with high standards set in the flight deck. The crosswind video looks fairly sporting. Tricky to get exactly right but rewarding when it works out.
