New to the starting line up...

You're killing me BookMan.

I'm still fragile after losing the unlosable game to Carlton

and now you break out the Red Rocks. And a special edition at that.

I think chooka will need to get me put on suicide watchw00t.gif

I'm planning a trip to Bangkok soon, I'll check out Foodland for any supplies. licklips.gif

I've searched the country high and low scea but have been unable to locate.

Let me know if you have any luck.

I just came back from Tops, they have Boulder Canyon Kettle chips for half price.

Not in the chip aisle but facing the checkouts.

Would definitely fill the gap until the real thing could be obtained.

Stop it stop it stop it. I hate being in Melbourne and here are you people talking about Tops. I want to go back.

I'd have no problem at all with NN getting a mill a yr cause he's definitely worth it IMO, you can guarantee Fyfye will be offered a huge pay rise next time round or he'll probably walk.

Inflated amounts or not it's the way it is.

Gillon McLachlan confirmed as new chief executive of the AFL, Andrew Demetriou to step down on June 5

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/gillon-mclachlan-confirmed-as-new-chief-executive-of-the-afl-andrew-demetriou-to-step-down-on-june-5/story-fni5ezdm-1226900514345

GILLON McLACHLAN ON...

His background of more than 240 matches in amateur and country football

“I have had my share of cold showers and freezing committee meetings.”

On a night grand final

“My simple answer on that one is I like a day grand final.”

On leaving the AFL should he not have been made CEO

“I think the reality is I would have had to have left. The short answer is yes. I think everyone understands and accepts that. That wouldn’t have been in a fit of pique, that’s just a reality.”

On the AFL buying Etihad Stadium early

“They are very aware that we would like to buy it. They are very aware that we think we are the only possible buyer. But we are a way (off) on price at the moment. It’s not that sufficiently an imperative to pay the wrong price.”

On fears going to matches has become too expensive

“We will be addressing the cost of going to the football. Cost is more than just ticketing. It is ticketing charges, it is food and beverage, it is the total cost.”

On Tasmania

“My vision for Tasmania is that we have a one-state approach. That means the north and the south working together to come in behind one team. Whether that’s possible, it’s a very challenging proposition but … Tasmanians ultimately need to become one team and that’s an aspiration.”

On his role in brokering a deal with Essendon

“With respect to me specifically, I am sure there was some skin taken off me. There was skin taken off a lot of people. It was an incredibly tough period… We ended up in a position that I don’t think was edifying for a lot of people and it certainly wasn’t great for the game.”

On the future of the centre bounce

“I am not making a guarantee about anything, but I like the centre bounce.”

I spent most of last winter in Southern Australia, absolutely appalling weather.

All that saved me was getting a couple of months house sit in north Queensland.

I certainly had a long think about living in Thailand with a bit less compared to waiting things out in Australia for a bit more.

Good luck Chooka. I like the fact that you stick by your team. We have 1 different (at this stage). We are going against each other in the Dream team. Good luck.

I hope you are enjoying your return to work.

Surprised no ones tipped the Lions as a roughy at home, swans have no money bags and butters is back... They're almost a shoe in here... :P

We talking Tasmania south or Dunedin south? :P either way agree that's <deleted> miserable winter weather down there...

I find the winter's in Adelaide are a welcome respite from the humidity ;)

I have to win this one, dropped to 2nd last in the dreamteam but have been scoring very well.

Fark, got home from golf and heard maxwell was out so changed to the blues.

Not a good decisionsad.png

Very true Farmerjo. I have him in my dreamteam. No points from him but I did stick with Collingwood in the tipping. 3/4 time and Collingwood up by 56 points.

Carlton have only kicked 2 goals. Well done Mick

Carton kicked 8 goals in the last quarter. Collingwood by 34 points. I think Collingwood took the foot off. in the last quarter again..

34 points, I tipped the pies by 18 um margin not to bad might lift me up the tipping ladder a little.

Carlton need to learn that you have to play 4 quarters to really win a game!

Or at least put the game out of reach in the 3rd.

Worsfold to coach the Blues in 2015 or Roosey to coach them in 2016..

Do you think Carlton made a "blue" in signing Malthouse Mr Smith?

I'm not sure about either of those two to be honest. Carlton might have

to look at some new blood for a coach.

They lack some serious talent out of the field. Makes last weeks loss to them

even worse when I watched them last night.

Before I go, another "Bruce" clanger last night, "Goldsack is running around

like a dog on heat".

I can imagine the rolling of eyes in the commentary boxrolleyes.gif

I see what you did there khun Will27 ;)

Yeah, I think signing Malthouse was just to piss Eddy "not bad for an old <deleted>" McEverywhere off. Carlton, have plenty of young talent in their teams (among others Gibbs, Murphy, Robinson, Thomas [even if I think he's overrated], Buckley [despite Bruce constantly blowing his load every time he mentions him]) and they need a coach that can exploit it. Roosey or Worsfold seem the only 2 available coaches that could do it. Maybe Choco Williams could, I've always rated him but not sure Carlton would entertain him.

I think putting in a first timer there would be a disaster - much like Brisbane under Vossy. Their current coaching options at Carlton aren't thick with experience and not sure Dean Laidley would be the direction the club wants. Brad Green, similar to the Michael Voss syndrome.

Gonna be a long day for the sainters.
