Well done.

They are lucky that they are not the sons of some of them members on here.

Yes...my son is so unlucky.....but, then he could have some irrational weirdo as a father.

Mate, just so you know ... not dissing you or your decision.

You made, what you thought, as a concerned parent, the best decision for your son/s.

We did the same.

It was a different decision to yours ... but we were just as concerned and caring about it, as you were, I am sure.

Let me clear it up. You have no say in how I raise MY child.

Interesting, in that you classify it under the term of 'raising them'.

It is of course everybody's right to raise their child as they see fit.

With a few exceptions. When your idea of raising them involves cutting them, harming them, physically abusing them, irretrievably mutilating them when they cannot stop you, and in the course of doing so robbing them forever of proper sexual intercourse and enjoyment.

JMO of course, you obviously think differently about such basic human rights and abuses.

It's not abuse. That's just a loaded propaganda word. It's an optional medical procedure with pro and cons.

^^ he was probably abused as a child and is just now taking it out on everyone.....prolly cannot perform either.....has an apology worked out prior to any attempts of sexual gratification...even playing alone.

It all sounds very bitter from him....whereas we are very happy with our outcome....and our sexy knobs.......

Posted

That must be it.

Doesn't sound like a defense mechanism at all. biggrin.png

And everyone's 'happy' except bearbearjohn, who'se actually experienced both:

I was circumcised at age 17 due to peer pressure.

Let me tell you, sex was MUCH better BEFORE I

was circumcised. The head of the penis was much

more sensitive and sex was incredible. I have

regretted that decision all my life.

BBJ......sounds like a fairly weak minded gimp, whom was 'pressured' into it by friends......sex with his hand at 16 was all he had to compare it with.

I must admit you are right though...my defense is a sexy knob smelling oh so sweet.....not of parmesan cheese...and when I touch it with my finger...I can feel it....but I am confused as is it my knob end that is feeling it or my extra sensitive finger tips that now channel my sexual frustrations.

No because it's a bigger deal medically when done later.

laugh.png , stupid post. So I must have my bowls removed as a kid cos I might get bowl cancer later on, OR why stop there, perhaps remove ones gray cells when a babe cos of the Parkinson's risk. You religious folk make me sick with all your diatribe about this and that BUT it is ancient religious twaddle. coffee1.gif

What religious folk? I'm an atheist. I say look at the medical evidence and decide for yourselves (the parents I mean).

Cheese belongs on pizza....and now that it is scientifically and medically proven to be beneficial....let your bell end be free and sexy.

This 'cheese' thing seems to be a common 'defence' of those whose parents had them mutilated at birth. I never seem to have the problem, I am not circumcised but I do wash...daily...twice daily or more in fact. I imagine the cheesy thing was a bit of a problem when living in the desert 2000 years ago, but you know, these days when one knows that bathing more than once every 6 months is not harmful, it really is not an issue. Your imagination is as ripe as your parmesan.

Your parents were not atheists and your todger was cut about for religious reasons at a ceremony, where everyone is looking on and enjoying the kids carving up party..........Yes/No ?

No.

Sorry to be a party pooper.

No I provided a medical oriented link before favorable to cutting. Nothing religious about the link. Cheers.

On the beard comment, I'd have a beard myself if I did't use a sharp object on my face most every day.

The choice is entirely personal in our situation, as it should be for you. I have a friend who jumped on the band wagon about it and I told him it was none of his <deleted> business

Interesting as one could also say that it shouldn't be the choice of a parent or parents to irretrievably mutilate their child.

Surely the most etthical course of action would be to not irretrievably mutilate another person, but leave them as nature intended and normal, then should any issues happen as they are growing up, take it from there. Then as they hit puberty (and after) they should be told about the (supposed) pros and the cons and decide if it is for them. smile.png

As the OP of this thread, I appreciate the late input.

My Thai partner and I have decided, unless there is a medical condition which inhibits the boys 'natural function' (for lack of a better term) they will remain intact.

I asked this question of the Forum because we are concerned parents.

We've made our decision and turn the thread over to you guys to bash out the moral/ethicial/religeous reasons for or against the procedure.

Thanks to all those who PM'ed us with their thoughts, it's nice to see the Forum with passion and a genuine heart for an issue ... thumbsup.gif

Medically oriented link eh.

If forums were around longer than they have been people would have been providing medically oriented links about smoking.

That's ridiculous.

Those are ADS from tobacco companies.

You know, cut or don't cut, make an informed decision freely, but most of the ZEALOTRY on this issue is clearly coming mostly from the anti-circumcision fanatics. They're not even interested in any objective scientific evidence that there are great benefits to it. Their minds are made up. Now and forever.

we just wish to give them the best start we can.

1+ Kudos !!

Actually it is usually done (when not for relious reasons) in the belief of some sort of health or hygiene nonsense later on in life, post puberty when they become adults, so not giving them the 'best start' we can.

What's wrong with not irreversably mutilating them, and then letting them decide after learning about the the pros and cons as they mature is anybody's guess.

You don't need to guess. It's not rocket science. As there are so many medical benefits to cutting it is for the little one's OWN GOOD! The reality is that once males have grown up they generally become exceedingly attached to everything about their thingies. So it's hands off with the knife anyway! So they generally won't do it later. Parents do all kinds of unpleasant things for their children for their OWN GOOD. Send them to school, vaccines, etc. Yes, whether the medical benefits really justify this is a decision parents can make either way, but you have invented a mystery that simply doesn't exist.

What a load of tosh. So why over a zillion years of evolution do we all have stuff you want cut off......?

We're a species that makes all kinds of adjustments when they make rational sense and provide a good risk-reward benefit. Such as vaccines. It's cool to be against circumcision, but don't act like those in favor don't have strong arguments as well.

It's <deleted>, near every animal on the planet has skin on the todger, so why are humans different and need surgery.............?

Come on, an answer with some sort of credit, NOT related to a religion and lack of personal hygiene, and to perhaps include a zillion years of human evolution.

Why would you not let your son make his own choice when he comes of age Jingthing?

That's sort of like asking the Pope about contraception ... laugh.png
