Water pump shop in Mahasarakham

Featured Replies

I need to fit a water tank (above ground) and pump. A lot of posts on here recommend using a specialist shop rather than somewhere like Global or Homepro. My wife says there's a shop that sells pumps for wells but she's not sure if they do what we want. This one is opposite Krungthai bank on Chaeng Sanit Road in Mahasarakham. Does anyone know this shop or any others in the area that they think are OK?

I'm considering a plastic tank and I've seen ones by Aqualine which have on them 2 in 1. My wife says this refers to a filter of some sort. Does anybody know anything about these?

Most homes indeed use a small shallow well pump for home water pressure from an above ground tank so Mom&Pop should be able to provide and install and maintain. Remember the blue type plastic tanks can grow algae so may require chlorine. SS and the sandstone type tanks seem to avoid this issue by blocking out all light entering the storage area - but at a cost higher than other tanks. Pumps can be noisy so ask advise if that may be a problem (home behind me here in Bangkok has a pump that would wake the dead when solenoid activates/starts pumping). I have just installed a Grundfos pump designed for above ground tank use and it is quiet enough to sleep next too (but very expensive and high pressure so maybe not good for normal home upcountry). As for the 2-1 on tank do not know but might mean it is two wall construction making it much stronger? I do not know of any tank having a filter - that is a separate external item/s if needed.

Thanks for that. I looked at Grundfos as well due to their reputation but they are expensive and I'm trying to manage cost a bit. We have a well although it's dry at the moment and the pump is a bit noisy.

I may try the Isaan forum to see if anyone has knowledge of local shops.

I used a specialist family owned aircon shop last year and they were great so I'd like to do something similar with this.
