why don´t we just have the guy banned. It´ll be easieer than trying to get him blown up in afghanistan, or god forbid, in a candian hotel lobby.

We´ll just ban him, and every now and then we´ll hear something from the site that can not be named about him.

Guys?

Dunno, I think Daley is losing it?

Wow, it's amazing the things you find when searching for totally unrelated threads !

I wonder if the numbers will change at all compared to where they were (are/was/used to be) ?

I'm betting that there is still a lot of love in the room though (and yes, I'm back in AssCrackistan at the moment, but have plenty of i'net access) !

This must be one of the oldest bumps! :o

Nah, this is only a 2 year bump. "Lightly Matured" in terms of TV threads ! Kind of funny to go back through some of the older stuff and see what people were saying (and acting like) back then.

has anything really changed!?

We still love (not knowing) you kerryd!

No what?

P.S. I thought Daley lost it a long time ago.

more important....where is Thippaporn? Haven't seen him for ages...

Yeah, I miss Tipp.

Yeah, I miss Tipp.

Me too.

When OTB first started and CB (I think) asked if there were any older bedlam topics that should be ported across I went in search of some interesting ones from memory, Tipp was one of the first people I thought of, but apparently he never started a single topic, neither has he made a single post, his past is completely erased. I can only assume that that is at his request.

I've searched for a few "former" members and their posting history seems to have disappeared.

Perhaps it's erased automatically if the membership isn't used for a certain time.

If you go to Tip's profile and click on "Options" (under his star rating), then select "Find Members Posts" (or Topics), and you'll see everything he's contributed (67 Topics by my count). If you try to use the tabs above "My Content", they never seem to show the posts/topics (on the ones I've looked at), but the "Options" menu always seems to work.

Tip's last post appears to have been made on 17 Oct 07, but he was last seen on 13 April 08.

Aha ...... just went to your profile and both Options and Tabs work fine for me, always has for every profile I've looked at (I don't look at that many though) So it was a bit of a surprise when Tipps came up blank for me.

Aha ! I just went to your profile, and under the Topics tab I get a message (No posts to Display), and under the "Posts" tab, it shows 5 posts (no option to see more that I could see).

That's why I just use the Options menu now. It shows all the members topics and posts.

Still doesn't answer the main question though.

Would I be missed (even by me) ? :o

In the grand scheme of things, would any of us? :D

I can only assume that that is at his request.

AFAIAA, several people have asked for their posting history to be erased, but up to now this has been denied, the reason given it would disrupt the flow of too many threads and if memory serves the soft ware at that time could not manage it simply enough and someone would have to individually strike a post one by one. Needless to say no one volunteered :o To such an extent I found a de-registered poster, don't know his original name, but fairly sure it wasn't 'de-registered' but even his/her posts were not stricken from the register.

That is correct - the policy is not to erase the posts even if a member asks to be removed from the forum. All posts remain the property of ThaiVisa and deleting them could cause problems with the data base especially if they have a long and extensive posting history.

CB

btw who is KerryD and why would we miss him

Yes, we've had some discussion in mods, last I heard he was still in Afghanistan. Perhaps JD would know better than I?

Last Seen: 2009-03-23 09:38:37 :)

I have tried several times to make contact but no response.

:)

Hope he is OK.

I have tried contacting him as swell - there was another thread here, started by me I think, on this. Also went through casualty lists from the 'Stan, but they only give troop casualties, not civilians. (Or that is all I could find).

But he just went clean off the map one day - no message, not a clue what happened.

He suddenly stopped being a moderator. Would this be related to his absence from the forum?

No, when a mod is totally inactive with no contact whatsoever for a period of time, they are removed as a mod and made honorable member. Once they become active again (if) then they are asked if the wish to mod again. He was off the radar long before he was removed as a mod :)

Kerry was also active on some other local forums (fora?) in Thailand.

As I am not a member of them I cannot check, but can anyone else check to see if he's been active there?
