Just a bunch of luxury cars in Suvarnabhumi disabled parking spaces (PHOTOS)
By Coconuts Bangkok

BANGKOK: -- The official traffic police Facebook page shared a photo of expensive cars parked in disabled parking spaces at Suvarnabhumi Airport, which the page suggested were parked by drivers with “disabled brains”.

The cars range from a Lamborghini, BMW, to a Mercedes. Staff at the airport left a really polite little note on the windshield of each car, but it will probably not change the drivers’ selfish behavior.

"This space is for drivers with disability. [read more...]

This is all part of Thainess

We have money, nice cars and power ... we do what we want when we want

Laws? what laws? they not apply to us

And they are afraid to tow these hi-so toys away because they will end up in traffic control at the Sakon Nakhon airport, I guess.

If they don't enforce the laws (if there are even any against it) nothing will stop it from happening again and again. We all see it every day but the police seems to miss it.

Whether or not the cars are considered luxury is irrelevant... the fact that any car is in a disabled spot is the issue.

The simple cause of this issue is the lack of enforcement... the simple solution is better enforcement and implementation of penalties.

That said: In the UK we have both 'Disabled' and 'Parent+Child' parking spots.... I find it hard to believe that there are so many disabled people around in my town in the UK.

i was on the third floor last week and noticed about 5 cars up there with about an inch of dust on them, seems that they had been left there for some time now

Left polite notes? That'll change nothing, Key them up!

That's what we keep telling you Bob but you still don't want Yingluck impeached or any of PT brought to justice for ripping off the country.

This is the part of this society that makes my blood boil. The a holes that own these cars probably make merit (for their luck), think they're good Buddhists, but think nothing of taking away convenience from disabled people because money gives them the privilege. IMO, they are the worst of the worst! bah.gifbah.gifbah.gif

Prayut is in an excellent, untouchable position to affect change here and bring Thais closer. Have soldiers tow these vehicles to be publicly destroyed!

They should have VIP Parking lots for expensive price and the money should goes to charity... oh no I forgot TiT coffee1.gif

another example of the thianess that the government is so keen for tourists to experience

Some of the Thai Elite Card members drive Lamborghini's, so maybe it's part of their "other perks".

10,000 baht fines.

Make it 100,000 Baht plus need to go and fetch the car in Nakornpathom.

That chip on your shoulder, either against Thai Elite Members or Owners of luxury cars is distorting your intelligent perspective....

Police:

Grow a pair and Tow them.

Here's a shot of an attendant safely guiding in an arrogant cretin. wai2.gifwai.gif

I'm sure that like so many other posters my local Tesco is a case in point as the reserved parking for disabled drivers seems to always be occupied by everybody except the disabled.

I can see the point though as they are right outside the main entrance and unfortunately drivers are not permitted to take their vehicles inside the store.

I believe big companies are obligated to provide disabled facilities, toilets, ramps, parking and the like. Nothing to do with how many disabled people may be registered in their area.

My local Tesco has disabled and child parking places hear the main entrance but they are always occupied, and not with expensive cars. sad.png

As someone said lack of enforcement is the problem. Was watching a program about parking in the UK and the fines are in the 100UKP region w00t.gif

Seems to work pretty well thumbsup.gif

in a word, scum. The lowest of the low. Just sprinkle some flour on the windscreens & that'll be that.

Things are difficult enought in this 'wheelchair unfriendly' country for us disabled with the general lack of facilities, without these (expletive removed) onanists acting so selfishly where disable facilities are provided.

And writing them a courteous note just reinforces the fact that it is alright for the rich to do whatever they want since there are never any repercussions especially from the neutered law enforcement agencies within Thailand.

Lard is much better. ;)

Wheel clamp with a large fine, that will fix the problem, make it illegal to park in disabled spaces without a permit.

That's what we keep telling you Bob but you still don't want Yingluck impeached or any of PT brought to justice for ripping off the country.

So your assumption is that the only ones that own expensive cars are Yingluck supporters or PT, I think a better conclusion would be it was the rich elites on the other side that started the current mess and now have control, so more than likely nothing will change.

25,000 baht (£500) removal fee, car removed to somewhere a long way away, like 100 kms at least, another 25,000 baht to reclaim the car which you can't do unless you take your driving licence, insurance, registration documents and any other associated paperwork, and if you forget any of it, whoops, a return trip all over again. Forget clamping with these idiots - make it as inconvenient as possible.

This is pretty much what happens in the UK. Try illegal parking in London or Brighton ...

Car craned away, huge recovery fees, high daily storage charges, forget a document and another day to pay for, and often the car is then inspected for defects by the police before it is returned. If any are found, the driver is fined for driving an unroadworthy car and made to pay for the repairs before it is released ...

Simpler solution - a member of Joe Public pops all four tyres with a small screwdriver, and then drags the blade of said small screwdriver all over the bodywork, maybe 'writing 'I am a selfish idiot' in deep unsprayable scratches or spraying the same words all over the car ...

They deserve nothing less ...

Oh dear.

You really need to get over this.
