Strongest team is Gomes King Huddlestone Modric Bale Lennon Defoe and 4 others yet to be bought.....

Saturday's side will have Assiou ekotto and Giovani playing....no injury worries with those two.

EDIT: Its offical I can't count to 11....

where does gallas fit into that line-up?

Depending on fitness I'd have him at left back with Dawson partnering King......I doubt Gallas will like the idea much though! :D

I hear he is Captain material?

My crystal ball says we field a weakened side this weekend.....a full strength team beating the Swiss ensuring we reach the league stage....and WE STILL DON'T BUY A STRIKER!!!

How's that for a guess carmine?

:coffee1:

Everytime a striker is available SPURS are linked with him/her but they never sign one !!!Maybe they are not as good and paying out the wedge as other prem sides.Still at least Harry has got you an ex GOONER.Happy days and come on Berne

I'll settle for Billy Gallas and Luis Fabiano and thank Robbie Keane for his effoerts as he's off to the Villa. I think we would then be looking at a very strong team unless Billy is sectioned. :whistling:

I'd stick to the farming forum if i was you Binnsy, how do you know 8m was turned down ? did you see the fax with the offer or did you read it in the Sun, if 8m was offered your tuppeny appeny club would have bit our arm off dont worry about that.

White Hart Lane sand ! you must be going back about 20 years which would have been the last time that you was in the same division as us.

Amazing to see the difference in Gareth bale 12 months on.....he just gets better with every game.

Good away win today.

Lucky to get away with the goal though. Still its time we had the luck. Several have gone against us. Lets hope we have a few of the injuries back for the midweek game or is Smokie right and they were rested

Sorry to say they were not rested. Pav, Defoe, Modric, Keane injured. Not sure about Kranjaer. Ledley was rested.

We bossed that game with what was really a second string team and that was a really good win. Well deserved. The fact that the ball was over the line was immaterial because there was a clear foul on Gomes.

Its a bit worrying that we might only have one fit striker on Wednesday.

It was 2-2 , how the ref didn't see the ball over the line I don't know. Did he sneeze at the same time?

The camera was many metres behind the ref and it was a goal, in fact it was saved by the guys arms in any case.

Is this ref a Spurs fan?

It was a clear foul on the goalkeeper, although i do ofcourse agree that the ball was later over the line.

Now Lass Diarra i like the sound of.

Well i love the sound of that but at 8.5m (25 yr old)isn't it just too good to be true. We should be over there now with a truck load of dosh!

Talking about too good to be true........ all the supposed Serie A interest in Jenas. :ermm::lol:

Just watched it again, again, and there was nothing wrong with their goal.

As said....who cares?....Spurs won. I don't really care for Stoke either....only an honest result.

Cracking goal by Bale wasn't it.

Diarra would be a great buy but I hear its more likely to be a loan deal....mind you if we pull in £8.5m for Jenas.....I know I know some hope....! :D

Depends how you look at it.

I just watched it again. Goal keeper fell over.

Nope it was a foul on Gomes.

Was the ball over the line ? probaly ;)

Was it a foul on the GK ? probaly not ;)

Who cares, we won 2-1 :D

Well at least one os honest..

Carmine, second string ??

That " second string " of yours would have cost old Arry more than half of the Prem first Teams, no <deleted> wonder you won at Stoke..:D

It's not Rocket Science..;)

<P class=first>Tottenham will be boosted by the return to fitness of four of their attackers ahead of the crunch Champions League play-off second leg against Young Boys. Roman Pavyluchenko, Giovani dos Santos Robbie Keane, and Jermain Defoe are all expected to be available after missing Saturday's Premier League win at Stoke.

New signing Williams Gallas is not eligible to play in this round.

And Luka Modric (groin) will also miss out as Tottenham look to hit back from their 3-2 first-leg defeat.

However, Spurs boss Harry Redknapp says the loss of Croatia playmaker Modric will not hamper his side: "Modric is a top player, but we've coped well without him before - for a long spell last season, and we were without him against Stoke on Saturday when we were outstanding - so we'll be OK."

The Croat joins long-term absentees Jamie O'Hara (back), David Bentley (ankle) and Jonathan Woodgate (groin) on the sidelines for what promises to be a crucial match in the north Londoners' season.

Jermain Defoe to undergo groin surgery next week

Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe will have an operation on a groin injury next week that will keep him out of England's Euro 2012 qualifiers.

The 27-year-old will still be available to play in his club's Champions League tie against Young Boys on Wednesday.

But the injury, which Defoe has suffered since the World Cup, means he could be out for up to a month.

England kick off their European qualification campaign against Bulgaria and Switzerland on 3 and 7 September.

Defoe missed Tottenham's trip to Stoke last Saturday because of the problem and will sit out the club's upcoming Premier League games against West Brom and Wolves.

But although Spurs boss Harry Redknapp said he would be out for a minimum of two weeks, the forward could play some part in the crucial Champions League qualifier against Swiss side Young Boys in which the London club trail 3-2.

He could also be available for the Premier League match at home to Wigan this weekend before he goes under the knife.

Redknapp said: "It might only be half a game he can last now, but it's getting less each time - the pain's getting worse.

"He wants to play and train all the time but he's got to have it done now. He can't go on like that."

Defoe had been due to have the operation last Thursday but the German specialist who recently performed a similar operation on team-mate Alan Hutton was unavailable until next week.

Redknapp added: "He's not trained a lot. When he has trained, he's been all right, he's been sticking goals in.

"But then he's had days off where he couldn't train and he's getting worse, he's getting worse all the time. Sixty minutes is about as much as he can last."

I like Young Boys..

between you and your manager - its no wonder you guys struggle to stay up and keep it up.   :whistling:

Are you sure you guys are on the right thread?

sorry Carmine< I see Singer is just making up for lost time, will try to keep things focused on Arry and the boys. Whats this about Defoe needing surgery on his groin?
