Security guard checking bags at KSK entrance

Featured Replies

KSK has a security guard posted at the front entrance with a small table and a sign that reads (not exact quote):

In compliance with government security policy, please prepare to have your bags checked at entrance.

One suspects this is a result of the Siam Paragon pipe bomb incident a couple of days ago.

there is about six entrances to ksk, propaly more, each one covered????

They usually have a guard with table outside the Sizzler lever, but this is for staff to sign in.

I rarely use that entrance and often I go in the back though the hospital, never a security guard and the doors are always open very early.

So the bag searches are for show then.

Even if they are supposed to search, they barely glance in a farangs bag.

I carry a back pack with 3 zipped sections. I open one (if asked) and that suffices

They've been doing that at Terminal 21 for more than a year, as well as MRT and BTS.

I entered KSK nearest the basement food court and east side parking lot--and, surprise surprise, there was no security.

It's a periodic thing depending on phases of the moon or the latest terrorist scare. Occasionally they check for bombs under your car with a mirror on a stick. It's a wonderful implement as the guards don't even have to look at the mirror to ensure you're bomb free.
