Found in many rural markets the past couple of weeks. They are delicious if somewhat tart.

When we ask what they are, we usually get a long explanation - they grow in mountains, being the most common.

DOes anyone have the correct thai/english name foir these?

I believe they are Cape Gooseberries. My wife has them around the house sometimes but they are not a favorite of mine.
