Australian short term SIM?

Featured Replies

A Thai friend is going to Sydney for 2 weeks. She has her own business and will need to make frequent calls to many Thai numbers, both mobile and landline while she is there.

Are SIMs as easily available in Australia as they are in Thailand and is there a particular carrier that anybody can recommend?

Are there low cost options for calls to Thailand similar to the "09" or "05" options available for international calls from Thailand?

Vodaphone pre-paid have plans where calls to Thailand are only one or two cents a minute plus a connection fee of 25 cents per call. Plenty of Vodaphone shops who will set up a SIM for her with the right plan for best call charges overseas if she asks. She will need to take her passport with her.
