New Advice Computer Shop Anywhere Near Rawai?

Featured Replies

Just wasted 10 minutes driving to Advice in Chalong only to find it has closed.

Has it relocated or are they saving money?

Is Phang Nga Road the only one in the south of the island now, or have I missed one?

Advice moved out from there already before Christmas. And afaik there is no replacement shop, they simply closed.

If it's someone needed to trouble-shoot and fix your computer, I can PM you a telephone number if you want.

He is excellent, cheap and comes to your house.

Closed in the beginning of June, staff moved to Phang Nga road office. Rather inconvenient to go there, yes. Many computer hardware shops in Phuket that I know are struggling at the moment.

I think you must be thinking of another shop. It was open a few weeks ago.

Thanks, KB, but I just want to get another APC UPS.

But I'd be interested to know about this guy you know in case I have a problem in the future. Can you PM me some details please?

PM sent.

No, I tried to go there for some Christmas shopping, but must have caught them on a bad day with sick staff, on lunch break, or something like that.

Before they opened their physical shop here I ordered online from them, that is of course still an option.

Ah well, the next time I go up that way I'll pop in. The real pain is trying to find somewhere to park the pickup on Phang Nga road.

Or I might try Banana IT in Home Pro Village. If it's still there. huh.png

Banana was still there a week or so ago but they never really look like they are doing much business. Maybe gone when their ease runs out. You can just about name any type of business in Phuket as they are all struggling.

I was there yesterday looking for a new smart phone. Staff disinterested, not much stock, I was looking for a particular brand/type, the phone they offered was last year's model, when I pointed that out sudden 200 baht discount on ticketed price, I declined, and left. Maybe they are on the way out ???

I can name three that are still booming.

Private water supply and delivery.

Martial arts.

Marine service businesses.

Other than that, I think you're right.

Are you still in the business Gregory if someone wanted to PM you?

That pretty much describes also my experience with Banana shops.

They should stick to selling the product where their name comes from.
