Audio Drm!

Featured Replies

Greetings!

The problem is iTunes music services don't allow to manage your purchased music freely, and the only place you can play a file purchased through the music service is on a computer with iTunes that is authorized under your account!

Here's an interesting soft to cut the DRM scheme -

As regards Napster music service the situation is the same.

Are there any Soundtaxi users? :o

There's also tons of software out there to remove the DRM from iTunes... or you go the manual route, burn the DRM-iTunes Music to a CD, then rip the CD to mp3. Works just fine but more inconvenient.

As much as I hate the DRM, Apple at least is more flexible with it than the other providers; there is at least a mechanism to export it to a non-DRM format.

All told, the best solution is still to buy a CD and rip it yourself; you get MUCH better sound quality.

I believe the French goveenment are working on this problem for you. :o
