Electricity, 8 Baths per unit in Sisaket, Isaan

Hello

I opened a nice small room in Sisaket. It is 3500 per month.

However, the price per unit of electricity is 8 baths.

Is it possible? Because I used to pay 4 baths in Chonburi... 8 baths seems really high.

For the first day, I already used 25 units because of A/C. So it would be about 6000 baths per month??

It seems crazy to me. What do you think?

There is no regulation on the cost of power resale, often used to attract renters with a low rent, catch up on power and water.

Solution - move.

I use to pay 7b back in 2012 in BKK for a 15,000 a month 40sq m condo...i ran a fan 24/7 and aircon no more than 2 hrs a day average, average bill was 1500b....you better start learning to live with out aircon.

8 Baht is probably the going rate ... in Bangkok I was paying 7 baht ...

don't use the air con all day .... use a fan ... air con at night B4 you sleep ..

For 6000b in Sisaket you can rent a nice 3 bed house (+ electric). Your being scammed IMO.

Pop into "Living in the past" near to the police station and I'm sure Frank will give you a few suggestions of where to stay.

In some countries, that would result in a prison sentence. Making a high profit on electric has always felt obscene to me. Simply do not rent, if the markup is too high. If these fools could not get away with this practice, they would not do it.

Take fewer baths.

Ho Ho Ho --- NOT --- If that wasn't the most pathetic post I've read all day, it's close. What gives you the right to take the piss out of Non English Members?. I admire people having a go whose native language is not English. If only I was half arsed close to being multi lingual = wish!

Rant over: Yes here in the rice paddies of Udon Thani we pay about 4.3 Baht/Unit but I was paying 7 in my rented apartment in Din Daeng, Bangkok.

I have recently been informed that there are commercial AND a private (homes) rate for electricity.

I wonder if somebody "assumes" this is a shop?
