Several others at around 25k, possibly cheaper if you go to a mom&pop aircon place.

OK, guy told 22.000 Baht for 18.000 BTU, lots of tube (it is very far away from the next wall) Central brand.

So that is fair......

thanks!

Isn't an inverter one better? Quieter and less energy use?

I just got one at Numchai, 12,000 BTU, on sale at 15k, down from some 22k or so. The 18,000 BTU was about 26k or so. LG inverter types.

I would suggest a name brand such as lg or samsung. Stay away from the lower brands, long term they don't last. Not much difference in price.

Last month I bought and had installed the next day a mid grade Samsung 18 btu wedge shaped 215802 AR18JCFNQWKNST with the FSC1458Z3 air conditioner. Power Buy had the best price on this model that I could find in Buriram. 16,990 baht including installation 48 km from the store. I paid 1600 baht extra for longer pipes, etc.. I did not have of the bank cards that would give an additional discount. Very quiet model.

I didn't think you could still get air cons for less than B1 per BTU. Good to know there are still some bargains to be had.

Googled that Samsung model # and it seems to be around B26.4k at most places. Even on PowerBuy's web site. You got quite a discount on that unit!

I took a photo of the price I paid in the Buriram Power Buy store and the sticker on the Samsung air conditioner. I did price Samsung air conditioners at the Buriram Global House Store and the Buriram Home Pro Store. Power Buy offered a better price on the model size I wanted for the Buriram Village one bedroom garage. We only have air conditioning in the one bedroom of the two truck garage which also has a bathroom and two Thai style kitchens. We are building a sensible size home on the same plot of village land, but can live in the garage now that we have air conditioning and a locked storage room to lock up power tools.
