First time I saw this was back in 1977, up in Carnarvon NW Australia, it was at the annual Gascoyne Festival, a few local lasses were sitting above water tanks and got dropped in very few seconds. From memory they were raising money for charity.

Last time I got a shot at it was about 4 years ago at the big wat in Pattaya, in the corner of Tai and 2nd road. A most excellent way to tell the daughters "This is where you end up if you don't do your homework". They're both #1 of their class

Reminds me of an old Elvis Presley movie. I think it was in black and white or maybe it was just my TV. A guy at the fair kept dunking the girl. Elvis stepped in and said that's enough and shoved the guy to the ground.

I sat up there one time for a firehouse fund raiser - I put on a suit to attract more funds - and as I said above, the water goes straight up your nose as you go straight down into it - not a lot of fun.
