I was wondering if you used a polarizing filter for this photo shot?

I don't have filters or a set formula for processing photos.  I sometimes play around in Aperture but more recently I am simply using Photos on my iMac, because it is Apple's news software and I want to see how it works.

I have a topic running in the Photography and Arts Forum if you are interested and want a better idea of what I like to shoot.

Starting to ease up here after heavy rain since about 3am.

Have to drive to CM tomorrow so hopefully it's gone by then.

We are hoping the same thing since we are going over the hill on Friday.

Flooding in several places where I hadn't seen flooding before - particularly NW of town where I kick around.   Parts of the embankment at the 2nd Buddha Cave 'Tam Pra' is washing into the river.  In India, they would call those steps a 'ghat'.   Coincidence, but I just climbed the hill over top  - up to the summit.  Got some photos.

Some photos from atop hill alongside river - across from Pattaya Noi. . . . . .

Map is of proposed walking/jogging/bicycling route around the hill. Red line is existing path.  Dashed red line is proposed path - to make it circumvent the hill, about 2.75 Km.

Yesterday, it rained the whole way from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai but wow what a beautiful day it is today.:)

For us, it rained all morning and was only able to walk the dog about an hour ago.

Why is there so much smoke haze at this time of the year? Yesterday I noticed there was a lot of smoke haze over Phayao. Today the haze is bad and the smell this afternoon is  bad. I have seen some local fires but with all the rain and water about it is strange

Do not adjust your set. The haze is due to corn burning. Your blue sky will resume momentarily  (approximately 9 months from now).

You guys over to the east must be getting some rain, the sky looks terrible.

We have had a heavy fog this morning but no rain.  We did drive through one brief shower on the way home yesterday.

The last 3 mornings we have had clear nights but heavy fogs from about 0630 for a few hours. This morning a light fog but this afternoon very heavy rain for about 40 minutes.  It was great for the garden.

After the best looking rice crop for years it's not looking quite so good now after all the late rain.

I know what you mean.  It is all lying down on the job around here and there is too much water on the ground as well.

It's just gone 5 here and it's pitch black outside.

Looks like heavy rain continuing for hours.

Coming down in torrents, looks pretty wide spread.

Glad they got some of their rice in.

  • 1 month later...

Anyone else but me noticed it's been raining?

Broke out the hoodie jacket to walk the dog this morning.

Been raining off and on a few days here
