Department of Employment warns job seekers of fake illegal work agent

The Department of Employment warns people who are looking for jobs of illegal employers who offer them to work in Japan. Earlier, the authority arrested an illegal employer who attempted to deceive unemployed laborers to work in Japan.

Mr. Boonmee Panthongchai (บุญมี พันธงชัย), the Employment Officer in Tak Province, said there are a group of impostors who try to induce laborers to work in Japan in different positions. They claim that the laborers will be trained and work oversea, but they have to pay around 10,000 to 25,000 baht.

Mr. Boonme said many people have already become the victims of these frauds. Recently, a similar impostor was arrested in Prawet District, Bangkok while he/she was trying to delude the victim.

Same old stories, rural folks always bring cheated by crook employment agency, this country folks never learns their lesson and still think foreign countries provide them good prospect and salaries.

I agree Thaising.

The real shame of Thailand is how the poor are kept poor, deceived and exploited.

Its only a small percentage who are bad here, but boy are they bad and boy are they rich as well. And not planning on letting anybody else have any.

It's not just poor Thai folks that get scammed, this kind of thing happens worldwide and even with reasonably educated middle class europeans. Unfortunately these crooks live off peoples greed and desire to earn 'easy money'. I live by the rule "If it looks too good to be true, it probably is" and also remember that for every person wanting to give you money there is a multitude wanting to take it away. The rural poor get scammed more often because they are uneducated and easily manipulated by the unscrupulous, better educated scammers.

The answer is education not necessarily free healthcare.

People sometimes get sick, people always need educating.
