This brand is even less known than the Doogee brand, whose Y300 I had mentioned in a different thread: Doogee Y300.

Yet I'm starting to feel that the Cubot Dinosaur is a much better deal.

Some specifications:

Screen size: 5.5inch
Screen resolution: 1280 x 720 (HD 720)

CPU: MTK6735 64bit
Cores: 1.3GHz,Quad Core
RAM: 3GB RAM
ROM: 16GB
External Memory: TF card up to 32GB (not included)

Battery Capacity (mAh): 4150mAh

System: Android 6.0
Camera: Back camera 8.0MP ( Interpolation to 13.0MP ) with flashlight and auto focus + front camera 2.0MP ( Interpolation to 5.0MP )

SIM Card: Dual SIM dual standby ( Dual Micro SIM )
Network:
2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
3G: WCDMA 900/2100MHz
4G:FDD-LTE 800/1800/2100/2600MHz

Advantages over the Doogee Y300:

Much lower price. At GearBest the price is just 99 USD. The Doogee Y300 is 119 USD, an almost 17% difference.

Much bigger battery capacity. 4150 mAh is quite high relative to other phones, especially in this price range.

2 SIM cards + TF card can all be installed at the same time. I think the Y300 can only take 2 of the 3.

More RAM (3 GB).

Better performance as seen in test results by DeviceSpecifications:

Some cons (in comparison to the Doogee Y300) I see are:

The Y300 has Corning Gorilla Glass, but the Cubot doesn't. So the Cubot would need a screen protector.

I think the Y300 exterior design looks more stylish or fashionable. But fashion isn't so important to me. It might be for girls.

The Y300 comes with more internal memory (32 GB), plus an additional 32 GB memory card. For myself, I already have a 16 GB external card (from an old phone) and don't really need yet another external memory card.

A con for both would be the lack of technical support in Thailand at the moment.

So I was impressed with the Doogee Y300, but after coming across the Cubot Dinosaur and it's 99 USD price, I'm now liking the Cubot Dinosaur.

What do you guys think?

Looks like the Cubot D has much better specs.

99$!! phones are getting so cheap now.

I don't know about the quality so it's hard to say if it's worth it, but 5.5" screen and a large battery is a nice thing.

I gonna buy the UMI super when I get back to Thailand, but that's a 200$ phone but uses very good components all over.

All the phones mentioned here are from gearbest but never mind, if it goes tits up, I bin it.

I know 2 people with Cubot phones though not that particular model who have found them to be reliable and generally like them. Cubot has been around for a while.

I've bought several Doogees as gifts and they have also been reliable and durable.
