Rajabhat?

Coincidence or mixing up with news about a new office in Chaiyaphum to be opened sometime soon on the premises of Rajabhat university?

(as another poster reported)

Coincidence/mix-up - I don't know, but It came from an Immigration officer.

Where did you hear that?

I sort of doubt it since they just moved to their new office in Sirindhorn last November.

one of the officer came to eat and told me they are building a new office in rajabhat , if you look on chaengsanit road opposite the granite shop and it will be a big office they will do everything not only 90 days.

Thanks, that compares with what I was told, that it will be a full-functioning office, an addition to the existing one at Sirindhorn.

It will be good for Ubonites if they do perform full service, but even if only for 90 days, re-entry visas and the like it will be a boon.

I will just wait and see where I go next year for my extension. Doing this years next week and it will be my first trip to the new office. Started doing 90 day reports by mail after they moved to Sirindhorn.

Joe just one question. I was reading that people applying for a retirement visa need a 90 day single entry Non O.

My one year Multi O expires on 15 Feb 2017, will this be ok to use for the retirement visa or will i need to head to Laos and get a 90 Day Non O.

You can apply for the extension based upon retirement during the last 30 days of any of the 90 day entries from you visa.

You will need 800K baht in a Thai bank for 60 days or proof of 65k baht income or a combination of the 2 totaling 800k baht.

I have zero income, i have 2 TD accounts that are both way over the 800k, would this be ok or will i need to show the 800k in my normal saving account ?

I will go to Chong Mek on the 4th Jan 2017, and obtain a new 90 day stamp so if i am correct i need to apply for the retirement visa on the last 30 days of that 90 day stamp.

It your accounts allow withdrawal of the funds with no delay and no penalty other than loss of interest they will be accepted.

You could apply for the extension of your current entry if you wanted to. No need to to do another entry.

Many thanks for all the info provided, i have been doing Multi O for more than 15 years so this retirement package is all new to me. I will do one more exit at Chong Mek and this will give me time to sort out what i need to provide the Thai office for switching to the retirement visa.

Nearly eighteen months since I was at immigration. I wasn't sure if the office in Ubon was open or not. Drove past the building site slowly last evening to see if it was completed or not. Appears to me that all work as stopped. If work does start again it probably will not be completed until towards the end of 2017 or even longer. Maybe others have more up to date information on whether this office will ever be built.
