Everyone has their own style….just lose all facial hair…unless you've got soft gay, boy-band stubble.

Pro tip: smell good.

Smell like money you'll be fine. Shower every 3or4  days all good.

Flashing a wallet full of snidey $100 bills seems to be the in thing to be doing right now. Give that a try and see how it works out for you.

Not complicated.

You observe how the Americans are dressed and you do exactly the opposite ...

Looks similar to a Chinese tourist from this angle; they wear dapper attire as well.

The traditional attire is wifebeater, worn out shorts, flipflops and a thousand baht note hanging from each earlobe. Can't fail with that impeccable sense of timeless style.

Works for me, although 1 x 1,000 Baht note usually suffices.

I do enjoy lowering the bar on occasions.

TEFL uniform of cheap polyester shirt and trousers coupled with a 20bht tie, white socks and plastic Bata shoes and the world is your oyster.

flip flops and wifebeaters

Are they not one of the same? They leave no marks. Go naked and strap on a big fanny pack to hide your well you know. Their eyes will be glued on the fanny pack and the fact that your naked will be ignored. I haven't seen any "Walmart" girls here yet. Take the advice of poster number 23 In the picture he has the fanny pack on the back but you can re-position it. If naked is your bag there are facilities here that cater to that. Only need to dress smart casual.

Trousers, good quality tee-shirt or shirt but the main thing is; other than the guys who have beards, don`t have face stubble, have clean tidy hair, don`t reek strongly of BO, have fresh breath not smelling so that the girl knows what he was drinking the night before or what he last had for dinner, clothing should look fresh and not creased not look like the guy is wearing tomorrows washing. Try to avoid wearing vests, shorts or crude tee-shirts that gives the impression the guy is not established in Thailand and probably does border hops every month and makes the Thai lady beleive that there are no benefits to hanging about with this guy.

With most Thai women, unless they are bargirls, they like guys to appear clean and well turned out. No need to buy expensive clothing, as long as it`s smart, clean and suits the guy wearing it.

The object of the game on a first date is to impress, stand out from all the other Farlangs, first impressions, the guy should appear classy and that he may have a few bob, he can charm his way into a girl`s affections, meaning even if he`s not handsome and living on a budget, he can woe his way into a girl`s affections by using smart appearance and being polite and jolly. Recognize the fact that the girl`s understanding of English language maybe limited, so avoid making jokes and humour that the girl will not understand and could take offence to.  Most Thai women are turned on by smartness, smiles, calm and collective, politeness and of a guy who always appears to be happy as if he doesn`t have a trouble in the world. This gives the girl confidence in the man and that he is the guy she prefers to hang around with.

Also don`t try to dress younger than your years, avoid coming across as a middle or old age trendy. Another point is that many Thai ladies hate and are disgusted by men that have tattoos.

It seems just like many other Farlangs you are stuck in the bargirl and short time mode when dating Thai women. For various reasons these Farlangs lack what it takes to charm decent Thai girls into being attracted to them, so they prefer to aim at the bottom end of the scale because they don`t have confidence in themselves or the abilities to change their ways, either by character or how they present themselves to the fairer sex, so they feel more secure in a comfort zone of bargirls and street trash as you describe them.

Men like you consider Thai women as street trash because they have resentments being unable to compete in the real dating game because of serious flaws in themselves that make them undesirable to women, not only in Thailand but probably everywhere.

Well said , this guy has problems if he views bar girls as street trash. As in the general population there are good and bad  bar girls but that label should never be applied. And on topic a little effort goes a long way, so walking in a straight line helps and a clean shirt and smile.

I do well with Thai bar girls - we all do! That's why we are here. You just have to pay them whatever your age - colour or body weight!

or facial hair.

Don't forget the gold chain necklace with a medallion the size of a manhole cover.  But seriously, hairy farang armpits probably are not at the top of the list.  A shirt with a collar, some footwear other than the 100 baht looking flip flops.  Hobbit feet probably don't make the top ten either.

I have always been told you need to work with what you have been given

Hi so girls will never be impressed by a Farang but bar girls simply do not care at all.

Easiest place to hook up with "hi-so" girls is back in your home country, once they've figured out everyone assumes they're a whore for being Thai anyway.
