We're fortunate that our condo office files TM30s on-line for residents using the same system that hotels use.  We returned late last week from an overseas trip and the condo office has tried several times to input the new TM30.  They say the Immigration system is "down".  The condo manager said they've had this problem for over a week and he went to Chiang Mai immigration to inquire when the TM30 system would be back online and was told they "don't know".

Come on, I've got to believe that Thailand Immigration isn't foregoing on-line reporting from hotels, guesthouses, etc. right now during this busy holiday travel period.

Does anyone have any news about the online system for TM30 reporting for hotels, etc being off-line?  Our condo manager tries hard, but he has the same hassles with Chiang Mai immigration not giving good information that the rest of us do (and he's Thai!)

Yes, the whole Immigration extranet is down and has been for closing in on two weeks. So 90 day reporting, TM30 etc. cannot presently be done online, see this post from Ubonjoe for confirmation.

Nothing new the entire extranet for guest registration (TM30), 90 day reporting and anything else on it is not working. Been down for some time now.

I think they took it down as defensive measure to keep it from being hacked.

Indeed, and I somehow doubt whether Immigration would accept the current extranet outage as a valid excuse for the failure of hotels, condos, etc to submit TM30-type reports in a timely manner - meaning, of course, that they could be in for a windfall from fines.

Well what a positive way to protect against hacking, have nothing to hack

On the same basis all vehicles, trucks, busses,  minivans and cars need to be banned,

Then road deaths over the holiday period would be substantially cut

Happy holidays, I will go next week to immigration in the OX cart !

As I said, I've been out of the country for a few weeks so I haven't kept up with the news that Imm. thoughtfully shut down their on-line systems as a hack-prevention measure.  Right up there with the equally welcome news that Truevisions has decided to drop even more English language channels.  I guess the Thai people didn't like Westworld, huh?  That Malaysia My Second Home 10 year retirement visa is looking more and more attractive.

Now that my question has been answered, this thread can be shut down.

What is the form I need for re-entry on my non-immigrant 0 retirement visa? is this affected also? I am not sure I think it is a TM8

Not sure what you have now but a TM8 is form is used to to apply for re-entry permit  to keep the remainder of a permit to stay (not a visa) valid on re-entry.

As I said, I have a 1 year retirement visa, I need to complete a TM8 to return to USA for business, does the current computer shutdown also affect re entry permits?

Since there is no "retirement visa" I assume you have a multiple-entry non-O/A visa and in this case you do not need a re-entry permit if your next entry into Thailand is not later than the "enter before" date shown on your visa.

Re: the shutdown since December 2016/2559 of the Thai Immigration website (https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn24online/) for online reporting of TM30, TM47, and perhaps other forms affecting foreigners.

(Also see post by UbonJoe about this:)

Does anyone have a blank copy it can share via Thai Visa of the Excel .xls/.xlsx spreadsheet file that can be used by online-reporting-registered lodging owners to report multiple foreign guests via Form TM30 more easily than by entering them one-by-one at the now-closed website?   If so, please post it to benefit others.

This is the spreadsheet that was once downloadable ("Import excel") at one of the steps for online TM.30 reporting (see the orange oval in the attached screen capture from an actual online report -- anonymized for privacy).

For Chiang Mai Immigration specifically, or nationally, does anyone know if the Immigration Department has set up a Chiang Mai or national email address(es) to submit such completed spreadsheets while the online website is unavailable, in order to upload completed Excel .xls/.xlsx spreadsheets?

This would solve the problem while the online-reporting website is not functioning for hotels, guest houses, and others already registered to do online reporting to submit what might be daily TM30 notifications for busy establishments.

What a pain it must be to make physical visits to file paper TM30s at immigration offices every day, or the following day, whenever a new foreigner checks in.TM30_ForeignGuestReporting_Step04_ProvideTM.6-and-guest-details_anonymized.jpg

There is important new information from both Chonburi and Chiang Mai about new "work-arounds" using email to submit TM30 reports for "alien" lodgers in a separate Thai Visa forum thread on the same topic about the now non-functional website (https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn24online/):
