My ex #2 still has a hotel at the airport, but I seriously wouldn't recommend staying there But my ex #3 runs a nice and clean little hotel within walking distance of the airport. Since I have no personal interest in that business I hope it is OK with the mods if I mention the name - Phuket Airport Overnight Hotel. You can book on booking.com and pay when you check in - it usually gets fully booked up every night, so you need to book ahead.
