Buying USD in Pattaya

Featured Replies

Hello

I am looking for some advice on procuring $8,000 USD in $50 and $100 good condition bils. Can anyone direct me to a reliable vendor who can undertake this size of transaction without any fuss or dramas?

Thank you for reading

As you are posting in the Pattaya forum I presume you are looking for fx agencies here.

I have used Yenjit who have branches in Walking Street, plus near to Immigration on Soi 5 Jomtien. Don't expect the amount needed will be a problem.

They appear to offer better rates in their Bkk offices so will do no harm to ask for the better rate and negotiate from there.

Across Soi Diamond. Upper end 2nd. Rd. Slightly to the right. Looks like antique shop. 100℅ reliable. Many big businesses change there. Any currency and amounts.. Good rates.

Good night. MS>

Hi there

They been around for ages. Looks a bit dark and weird, but big / legit operation. Many tour-operators, Russians, Arabs etc. etc. Friendly and prof. service. Best note down  what you want and they will quote you their rate and min. later the 2 or 3 ladies in the back come out with the desired cash. Never had any issues. Pretty much any currency and even major amounts without delay or questions asked. Always friendly, even that one time I counted wrong...:-) Good night Sir.  MS>

Yes they always have a large amount of dollars, I always exchange there when i need them. As said previously ask for a better rate for exchanging that amount.

I would avoid $50.usd bills. They seem to have a bad reputation around SEA anyhow. New issue $100.usd bills(with the orange print) are available most places. That said, I'd also avoid the older $100.usd bills. I was in KTB on Pattaya Tai over the New Years holiday and they had $100,000. sitting in a basket. However, I would suspect at KTB you might need to show a passport and have limits. You indicate desire for no hassle so might have to use one of the money exchanges listed.

I have a guy that I have used several times.. send me a PM and i'll send you his contact details.

I've gotten some big amounts from the place on Soi Gold.  On the left as you head towards the beach on Pattaya Tai, just before the lights at 3rd road.  Turn left into the soi 100M before 3rd road and it's about 50 meters in on the left.

Hello, is the rate in Pattaya as good as super rich in BKK ?

The rates anywhere and everywhere in Pattaya are never as good as BKK especially at

http://grandsuperrich.com/ or

http://superrich1965.com/  or

http://siamexchange.co.th/

It may be worth the trip to BKK to get the best rates.

+1, exactly as described. Super T is worth visiting for the atmosphere alone. A bit of vanishing Old Pattaya lives on there.
