I copy the list from the premium wellnessfx package and have it done here every year . Very complete package that encompasses so many things and doing bloodwork is a very efficient and cost-effective way to track your health .

https://www.wellnessfx.com/premium

I used to own a few Mercedes in an earlier life but have always been careful with money, and today it is in short supply

Currently I am having very extensive check ups every three months, including MRI, Ultrasound, colonoscopy, plus more, (a chest Xray at Chulalongkorn was recently only 200Baht!)

I have had I think all the tests listed in the wellness program

I use government hospitals for these tests, in Bangkok my long list of monthly blood tests at Chulalongkorn come to around 1100Baht, including PSA not seen in the list, and not one of the cheaper tests, I am also around the same price at Srinakarin again govt in KhonKaen

I wish I did not have to worry about money but by shopping carefully I am able to be OK

I do not knock those who are fortunate enough not to have to shop so carefully and am in fact  maybe envious

I also you Chulalongkorn to preform this package ( thanks to Sheryl helping me get over there and a hospital card ) .
And applaud your diligence in finding a way as health is the real wealth possibly .

If more of our members would only get colonoscopies every three months we might have more subdued, thoughtful posting.

An observation

I have had five colonoscopies so far

The last colonoscopy, was totally painless, done also as outpatient,(Chulalongkorn of course) I was out and a very pleasant  painless experience, (two shot sedation)on the other hand at a country clinic in India the most horrendous experience

The worst part is drinking all the fluid to wash out the bowel, I do allow myself a few sips of Malt Whisky each time ( normally I drink Samsung)I have drunk a tumbler full of the prewash, easies the task a little, sometimes if nervous before going to the hospital, I may take a valium just numbs the brain a little.

I am touchy about people going up my ass

Another recent experience, same hospital,  was an ultrasound again up my backside was ok, another Colorectal Lady Surgeon , early 40's doing it no sedation, also rather pretty, always soothes me a little, she was playing with this probe about 18 ins long, putting on a plastic bag, / condom and pumping liquid in and out, waving it around a bit like a golf club, I enquired you are going to put that inside me, I asked her if she enjoyed administering pain, she smiled and said yes, she promised me it would be relatively painless and it was !

My main colorectal surgeon wanted another opinion from a colleague

I can only say how happy I am to be having this wonderful excellent of care, checking and checking again and all at affordable cost

How much was colonoscopy at Chula and was it double well ?

Do not understand double well ?

In February it was 10442 baht, including double shot anaesthetic, and biopsy of samples

I have another scheduled at the end of august and attach Chulas brochure that says between 5000 to 15000, but I would hope no more than previous one

In Khon Kaen at a big chain hospital I was quoted 60,000, needles to say I went elsewhere

I will do anything to avoid pain and I was very relaxed and felt nothing

This was all done as outpatient, I seriously doubt if you will get it done cheaper in thailand, and my own belief is my colorectal surgeon who did this is one of the top in Thailand, far more important than the price
