Ms Pat clarifies the source of her 1.9 million baht in a bank account

 

 

BANGKOK: -- Actress Napapa “Pat” Tantrakul reported to the Office of Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) to clarify about the source of her 1.9 million baht in a bank account.

 

Accompanied by her lawyers who were at the ONCB, Ms Pat met with ONCB secretary-general Mr Sirinya Sitthichai and reportedly told him that the money was transferred to her bank account by her husband, Mr Akkarakit “Benz” Vorarotecharoenkit, who is facing charge of money laundering allegedly in connection with alleged Laotian drug lord, Xaisana Kaeopimpa.

so this actress hasn't been able to prove any income at all, is that right ?  i'm just wondering what an actress might make in thailand.  i assume she needs at least 100,000thb/mo to live, so she should be able to prove at least a million if she's been working and such.  maybe not working recently since money just shows up in her account. 

She has obviously decided to let her husband sink or swim on his own then. I suspect they have the goods on him and she knows it.

Too funny. Last month she insisted the amount in question was earned by herself from her "entertainment business". Now she suddenly claims it was deposited into her account by her husband.

 

But maybe she meant she provided "entertainment" to her hubby and got paid for it. After all, she allegedly IS an actress.  

Do a drug test on her (hair sample) if she is positive she is lying. Many hi so's are taking drugs. She however had more than the B 1,9 m in her account and was pregnant at the time of her husbands arrest. It will not be the first time that a wife was unaware of her husbands real line of work.

Not the first time a wife is aware but doesn't care as long as the money keeps rolling in.

If the money was all legitimately earned, why did he need to transfer it to her account? Any evidence of her spending any of it as it was a "gift". These pesky banks keep records, so difficult to deny everything.

 

She better get her arrangements made to visit him in the clink, if for some reason she doesn't join him inside as well.

Hmm sounds like its every man/woman for themselves. She may be cutting him loose. Thats one of the troubles with bank accounts a paper trail. With her good looks she should have put a treasure chest under the bed and made him deposit 5,000 bahts per dalliance

1.9 million wow what a jackpot. Give up money laundering its not lucrative in your case.

She also needed extra time to find out how her money reached her bankaccount. She needed several weeks to investigate it.

 

Guess Thai bankaccounts don't show where the money came from?

There seems to be no law here against lying to the police or court. I guess authorities can empathise. Also, can spouses destify in a court of law against each other in Thailand? If they can, he's going down quicker than she'll know how to spend his money. 

How quickly people forget the release of documents detailing all those avoiders and launderers who put their money in the cayman islands.

This actress is guilty of not having enough money to take advantage of such 'vehicles' unlike eg the father of the uk's previous pm and other guardians of our democracy and its supposed systems of fairness.

IIT would appear donald hasnt lodged a tax return since adam was a boy other than an extract of one..yes one.

Sorry to upset people but this sort of thing is rife everywhere in the world.

If anything thais lack the sophistication in concealing their earnings and the sources of these earnings compared to what goes on in the west.

Reading this forum one could be excused for thinking that like bad driving, cowardly attacks etc etc thailand alone does these things.

Increase taxes and pay for the infrastructure to monitor and administer these excesses and who knows.

We all live here because it is cheaper and/or better than where we hail from
