BANGKOK: -- A crane truck flipped on its back in an accident on Paholyothin Road in Bangkok’s Sai Mai district on Wednesday, leaving the truck standing on end pointing vertically.

=The unusual sight was made even stranger by stationary aeroplane sculptures in the background at the front of Navaminda Kasatriyadhiraj Royal Thai Air Force Academy .

The accident happened on the construction site for the Green Line.

Not in the same fashion as LoS manages, which all too often involves use of an extra quota of stupidity. The BP has quoted the cause, in this case, as being the weight of a beam it was carrying to the Green Line. Someone obviously forgot about the fulcrum.

That is the usual cause of any crane flipping in Thailand or else where

Coming so soon after the fatal accident involving cranes and beams on the Red Line construction, there need to be some sanctions against both the contractors and the government inspectors paid to prevent this happening. Not that I've ever seen a Government H&S Inspector on site in Thailand!
