I would really need a wine cabinet but as I don’t have it I keep my wine in the refrigerator. The wine does not seem to suffer noticeably during the short period I keep it refrigerated. -- Maestro The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

December 31, 200619 yr bottle of Bordeaux in Thailand ? That Bordeaux you saw me mention some weeks ago was when I was still in Switzerland and it is stored in my wine cellar there. Here in Bangkok, I was given a bottle of Penfolds Bin 2 2004 the other day and this bottle I keep at room temperature, not in the fridge, until I get the opportunity to drink it with guests come Saturday. I’ll cool it down slowly to 14 ˚C in the refrigerator before opening and serving it. This combination of Shiraz and Mourvèdre is really too young to be drunk, but lacking proper storage facilities here I see no other choice but to sacrifice it already now. -- Maestro The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
December 31, 200619 yr I wrap my bottles of wine in thick woolen towels before putting them into the fridge which stops them from getting too cold.
