103 FM    Good is subjective. I like about 30 percent.

There's also 96 FM for another questionable 30%.

Beats me why anyone bothers with radio, a lot of endless chatter from DJ's plus annoying ads. You can download all the music you like onto a stick or disc and play in the car or wherever. Haven't listened to the radio (except internet radio) in 8 years of living here.

I like 103 FM. Sometimes they have interesting bits of news that I haven't heard anywhere else. The music mostly suits my generation, and even the ads are sometimes useful given how difficult it can be to find services here. That inane School's Out quiz in the late PM is annoying as they seem to think that the average listener has an IQ in single figures. And when we get to 6:00 and the Thai news comes on, then it's definitely time to switch to the USB stick...

103 FM , they have regular shows with local news and play some of the best music of the 70's , 80's and 90's.

But thats mostly 70s 80s 90s from the U.K. , right ?

I don't think so , they also broadcast radio shows with a DJ from the US in the afternoons.

I try to listen to 103fm in the morning, but often switch off as there is so much head banging music and this dreadful monotony of songs that have around 5 or 6 words that are just repeated. I know I'll probably get it in the neck from some posters but I honestly do not think this station does any market research about the listening profile in the morning. In my view the listeners who appreciate  the disco type music they often play are almost surely still asleep in bed after a night out on the Pattaya scene. Also, and I accept this as an old codger, the modern girl singers all sound the same and I suppose they all have video's of the songs that are shown alongside the endless monotony of the song, so really the lyrics are of no importance. On radio of course we have no such luxury - even if we wanted it. Someone said they play lots of 60's/70'/80' music - but not in the morning that's for sure.  In the evenings it can be quite good, with David Hamilton etc,  but these are of course imported programmes, as is the Emporar Rosco, who is very slick and professional.

It's a shame really as the reception is good and I've always been a fan of radio. Thank goodness for the BBC iRadio player.

Internet radio, i.e. www.radioswisspop.ch. no news, no moderation, no ads, just pure music 24/7, pop from the last 40 years. Also a classic and a jazz version available (replace "pop" with what you like).

Was great until Radio 2 decided that Alex Lester and Janice Long were too expensive for the midnight to 2 AM spot (perfect breakfast listening in LOS) and play their horrible 'Playlists' with faceless young wannabe DJ's.

Alex is now on BBC local radio WM 95.6 from 6 AM to 9 AM so makes for good lunch and early arvo listening over here (apart from the grating Brummie accents of some co-hosts).

Emperor Rosko - Brings back memories of listening to Radio Luxembourg fading in and out on my transistor radio (1960's).
