Manager reported that smart villagers in Ang Thong have come up with the perfect solution to always losing their lime crops.

They have installed twenty large cement tree holders on 1.5 meter high pedestals.

Now their trees will be safe from the annual floods in the area of Pa Moke district of the central Thai province.

Thiwaporn Chaisan, 37, said that the idea came about after locals got fed up of losing their lime crops when the Phong Phong canal that leads to the Chao Praya river burst its banks every year.

What about the manager find a way to stop the canal from overflowing?

Now I wait for the PM's next Friday night sermon where this will be cited as proof Thailand 4.0 is a huge success. Song and poem about it is in progress. Titel: "High as limes"

Btw. that's the same area where they hang red knickers belonging to widows to long poles to prevent monsoon rain. Maybe they gave up on the tradition...

So next related news.  Two farmers die falling off bamboo ladder picking limes.
