Members of the public can literally see the whole capital – at the 1:750 scale “Bangkok City Model” replica being exhibited at the Department of City Planning office’s third floor exhibition.

The model was built in 2008 for study purposes and to plan urban expansion. It features detailed replicas of real buildings and infrastructure in the 80-square-kilometre inner city area covering 20 districts.

Visitors wanting to view the model can go to the Department of City Planning office in Din Daeng district during office hours from Monday to Friday.

And obviously Bangkok has a leaning tower, too ...

Great work and remarkable patience!!...must have taken months to build...

Soon to be known as "Underwater World".

Even though it is on the third floor.

As it was in 2008. I wander if the have tiny, little street food vendors.

Must be a lot of changes over the last 10 years or so!

With the advances in technology  a overhead photo if the present model and a Satellite overhead image laid , projected on the model should show the changes in the last 10 years. That would be very interesting indeed.

Google Earth https://www.google.com/earth/download/gep/agree.html has historical imagery going back to 2001 for parts of Bangkok it can make interesting viewing.
