Thats exactly what I am saying  Mikey88 sorry you didnt understand. I was quoting the  poster for his tired old mantra that Thai women marry only for money. My beautiful wife of 14 years knew exactly my somewhat parlous financial situation when we married. At 42 she had a good job as a qualified accountant,had never previously been married.It was just one of those chance meetings that may come along once in a lifetime if you are lucky.

Our relationship is a solid as it ever was .Lot of love in our house.

She was not an Isaan hooker or anything like that. She was a tall Chinese Thai that looked like she was from Chiang Mai and appeared very high-class. It was really bizarre!

You apparently assume that only rich women can look stunning, just like one of the models/celebrities you often see shopping with an entourage in the high-end malls in Bangkok. Absolutely naturally beautiful.

Wrong. A 10 can come from any background, and money can provide the training and the clothes etc to look like that.

Money, aside from power, is the greatest aphrodisiac known to mankind.

I saw one of these couples at an Italian restaurant in Chiang Mai that only served a few tables per night and had no menu. (It is not open anymore I don't think the business model worked). The gentleman appeared to be the Western CEO type in his 60s. These guys can make millions per year, fly around in the large cabin class business jets and have comprehensive expense accounts.  Contacts here can surely assign them a suitable executive assistant and escort that can accommodate their needs while in Thailand!

 

Yes, the corporate connection is one way that well paid expats meet Thai women and not an especially uncommon one. Other answers on this thread seem to be coming at it from the point of view of people whose knowledge of Thai society comes from hanging out in bars.

 

Doesn't even have to be a CEO type, most any guy making $100k/yr in the West who gets stationed in Thailand by a multinational corporation is apt to be of interest to some of the girls in the office unless he's a mutant or an obvious creep.

Though there are obvious examples of that, especially if you're pulling from beer bars, it's too simplistic to say that women are in it for money. There is nothing sexy about a man who can't take care of himself, so if you sleep every night in a cardboard box under a bridge it's not unjust if women aren't interested in you.

Yep, give me a cute, down to earth farm girl with a great sense of humour over a make-up clad, surgery enhanced, skin bleached model type any day. But each to their own.

Maybe you do. If all I am looking for is physical attractiveness and sex appeal, I am usually content with who I end up with short time term. A long term relationship is very different.
