Police were called to the Pratunam area of Bangkok after a road rage incident involving a taxi driver and a heartthrob Thai actor.

Mario Maurer was driving his Porsche when there was a "cutting in front" incident on the road. Apparently the taxi driver - by the name of Udorn, 37 - took aim with a catapult and a stone.

The side window of the black Porsche was completely smashed.

Phayathai police later spoke to both the celeb and the taxi driver at the station.

Mario was tight-lipped with reporters telling Sanook he didn't want to make a big deal of it.

Police have charged the taxi driver with criminal damage.

A video of Mario using his phone by the side of the road was shared from the "Park Bo Bo Be Be" page to "Yousharehotnews".

It showed many people taking selfies with the handsome actor.

If taxi drivers are running around armed with these things, I'd say that the time loop has definitely been screwed with !

Looks like the passenger window of the taxi is completely smashed.... making it very unclear who fired the catapult.... Great reporting, poor clarity

I think the concept of dueling should be reintroduced.  If you're enraged at someone, instead of being a coward and either using a weapon or group beatdown of a individual, the authorities should set up a duel.
Two individuals, two seconds, choice of weapons, clear terms of engagement, witnesses.

...only if you disregard what was in the report.  Why would the Porsche driver smash his own window using a catapult resulting in the taxi driver being charged?

It is only a Sling shot in America - the rest of the world calls it a Catapult except the Kiwis and Ozzies call it a Ging and a Kettie in South Africa....they were used extensively in the last street riots in Bangkok.

Thai news reports that the Taxi driver fired a stone with a catapult (slingshot - semantics) through his own window and the window of the Porsche.

That a stone fired via a catapult could penetrate through two tempered safety glass is somewhat questionable... I wonder if the Taxi driver actually fired a gun in anger and then quickly back-pedaled...

Apparently the taxi driver only meant to scare the Porsche driver.

He said he didn't think the catapult was loaded and it went off accidentally.

Maybe the taxi driver forgot to lower his window before firing off the sling shot lol

Canada is America..............so is Mexico and Patagonia.......

Well then, you're mistaken twice. Canada is in North America. And Spanish speakers don't use slingshot they use honda. But some people are never wrong...
