Does anybody know ?

  • When is it available
  • What are expected delivery times
  • ....and where can it be viewed in the Pattaya area

For me it looks like they are not interested in selling - there is so few info available.

Need the car sometime between mid april to mid June.

The first posts on Youtube date back more than one year. I will try to contact Toyota to get an answer although I do not have much hope to get a viable answer or did anybody try that already ?

I actually received two answers from Toyota.

The first was: Look at our web-site.

If I replied that the info I was looking for was not available on their website they replied again: We do not have official information regarding the availability of the New Toyota Camry 2018 Hybrid in Thailand and they referred to any press releases that might at some time be published. However they gave me the coordinates of 2 bigger dealers in the Bangkok and Pattaya area.

This car is promoted via YouTube and on the web for more than one year now. Still they do not know when one can actually buy it in Thailand. And I would most likely do. The most expensive model. They make it not easy for customers.

This is like your thread about not having a dishwasher in your rented Thai  condo

Your not in Switzerland anymore and things that you were able to get there are not necessarily available here in Thailand and  you had better get used to it

Was watching A1 (Longest road in the UK) on BBC 1 the other day. About police patrolling same. Did you know that they wont touch a Hybrid if it's in an accident. Something to do with the electric leaking and them getting dangerous shocks.

Turns out they send for a special garage to test before it's moved. Not by Police. But by the garage and on a low loader, never towed. Just a bit of western info, that you might not get here.

Pretty impressive fuel economy on them. I hired one in Australia and drove from Sydney Airport to Brisbane CBD on one tank of fuel and it was a comfortable ride too and that was the previous model to the new 2018 vehicle.

"The shock from a car battery will not kill you. In fact, under normal conditions, a 12-volt car battery willusually not even shock you. Car batteries are not harmless, though. ... Sparks (arcing) between a car batteryterminal and other metal parts can cause the metal to get hot enough to burn you." Google

this is what can happen, when one's wedding ring completes the circuit - ArcWelding one's finger that got stuck between the Ring, the Terminal, the spanner, and the battery securing rod.

IMG_20180131_0001.jpg.ecf0d1de66dc600c3392ca920648aaa2.jpg well that's what happened to the ring, however the rest of the circuit connection was completed about 30 degrees further around the curve... and so, the gold in between

- instantly glowed,

and 3 months later there is still a spot of skin still trying to cease it's scabbing!

Suggest you go onto You Tube. Tap in, A1 Britons longest road season 1 then go to episode 2 you will find that the cops wont touch a Hybrid in case the body is live. Come's up some 25 minutes into the program.

Take note of the recovery man Putting on protective gloves.

Then tell me a Hybrid is as safe as houses after it's been in an accident.

Suggest you do some research before you post BS. Hybrid cars pack a lot more than 12 volts - that is to power the cars electrical systems such as starter, lights, etc.

Hybrid voltage 100-200 volts and enuf amps to kill you.

The two most prolific hybrid manufacturers on the market, Toyota and Honda, each have battery packs with around 100 to 200 volts

Now more than half of 2018 has passed and the all new Camry 2018 is still not showing up in Thailand. Soon we will see the all new Camry 2019 on YouTube I suppose. Hard to choose a new half-way affordable car here if you do not want a SUV.
