Chinese woman defecates in Bangkok taxi, refuses to pay clean up charge

A Chinese woman defecated in a Bangkok taxi on Wednesday and then refused to pay anything towards the cleanup cost.

According to Sanook, the Chinese woman, 30, told the driver she wanted to go Ratchadapisek Soi 7 after being leaving the Terminal 21 shopping mall.

On the way, the woman told the driver she needed the toilet and wanted to stop at a gas station on the Asok Montri road.

However, the driver couldn’t make the right turn into the gas station because of traffic cones in the road. Unable to wait until she found a toilet the woman defecated inside the taxi.

The driver then pulled over the cab and told the woman to pay for her mess to be cleaned up but she refused and demanded to be taken to her destination.

A policeman arrived on the scene to try and help settle the dispute but told the driver that there was nothing he could.

The policeman reportedly said there was no law to cover such an incident.

The woman eventually walked off leaving the taxi driver with a soiled cab.

The taxi driver then contact the JS100 traffic news website to report the incident.

The driver named only as Mr Surawat said: “I have been a taxi driver for 14 years. Normally people complain about taxis not picking up passengers.

“But now do you see the type of problems taxi drivers have to deal with?”

So if i do that in a mall there's no law to make me pay? I don't believe it, guess that policeman doesn't know the law.

How do they not have a flexible law that can be applied to this?

Got to love the original title ผู้โดยสารชาวจีนอุจจาระราดใส่รถ แล้วไม่รับผิดชอบ ROTFL

Think will stick to Grab next time in BKK.

How much was the peasant taxi driver asking for ? 200 baht or 20k

Copper probably didn't know what to do. He knew that he couldn't shake down a chinese woman and that bringing her in would be too much of a hassle. Driver should have taken photos of the person and could have reported her to the Chinese embassy. They do take such incidents seriously. She probably dumped on the rubber mat. Not the biggest issue and certainly easier to clean up than the usual projectile vomiting from our  wonderful lager lout and chav contingent with their lovely tats.

she may have had food poisoning or something (or she could have just been a chinese main lander) but she should have paid to have it cleaned. that's rotten

**i'm actually surprised there is no kind of fine for that. probably is but if she was being one of the shouty rude chinese types then the BIB probably just wanted out of there.

**if i remember correctly if you puke or anything like that in a london cab they have a set charge of 100 pounds or something for his loss of earnings and to clean the cab

I think this shows how the Chinese feel about the Thais.

bet the driver was ec'scat'ic

but I'm sure he'll suck it up...

I hope that diamond left in the back seat by a preceding passenger is still clean enough to be returned to its owner.

Had similar experience before but lucky enough to find a station nearby. 200B for cleaning will do.

it's sounds like they were on asok and not a highway or anything like that. i would have jumped out and ran to the nearest shop house or anything open with 50 baht in hand. no one would refuse you to use the toilet if they knew you were desperate. it's sounds like this woman just shat in his cab 555. that's seriously messed up.

I feel sorry for this Chinese lady. Although I think she could have shat in her handbag or a pocket or her hat.

Too much spicy Thai food I reckon.

With the continuing influx of Chinese tourists maybe from now on all taxis should be fitted with a bumper dumper...IMG_0347.JPG

I had the luck that an American GI had lost his food in a cab I was driving. It took 10 days to remove the nasty smell.

What would happen if one defecates in a policecar? Would they also let them walk away?
