Connect Two! And this one is true love - not an April Fool's!

Thai social media was abuzz after a romantic professor made a surprise proposal to his long time girlfriend on the campus of Rachamongkhon Rattanakosin University of Technology in Hua Hin yesterday, April 1st.

But Phasakorn Srisuwan or "Ajarn Joe. 29, was not joking about wanting to marry Juttamas Suanma or Nong Fon, 28, an accounts worker at a condo in Pin Klao, Bangkok.

In front of invited students Sunday, and with a videographer to record the event, he produced a huge bunch of traditional red roses.

And amid shrieks of delight Nong Fon said an emphatic "Yes!"

Phasakorn told Daily News that the couple met on campus when they were both students and love has blossomed - now nine years had passed since their first meeting and this was considered an auspicious time to pop the question.

The genuine "connect two" story was in contrast to a Thaivisa hoax that apparently fooled many on Sunday into believing that the military government were banning the bar top game "Connect Four" because of gambling concerns.
