300k... I see them advertised anywhere between 320k-390k !! The buyer is like family though, so we aren't going to over charge him.. No deposit and just 5k/month, that's not a bad deal for him..

  • Then rip out and buy a CRV...2 wheel drive...Beautiful car. Open road driving they are as comfortable and tight as a Merc...(Sorry Trans).

If anyone has drive the new ride that Kawasaki has, my thoughts were that the extra CCs in Ford n Toyo dont do much. Superb Value imo.

People should know the Thailand version is 150 bhp turbo diesel other version 164 bhp and twin turbo's not sold here..

But the Ranger Raptor isn't being touted as a family camper, trailer-hauler or a tradies truck is it? It's an off-road 4x4 with bespoke suspension. The 'smallest engine they could find in the cupboard' is a twin-turbo so bugger all to do with 'electronic wizardry' and will probably pull the skin of your rice pudding faster than you can say 'Rocco is an Italian porn star', your 460 cu. in. V8... or both.

The Ford Raptor hasn't got a twin turbo , it has a bi-turbo. They do not work together , one is for low end and the other for the top end . I think the reason for this is to eliminate any turbo lag.

With regard to which vehicle?

You are correct. It has two turbo's and they act exactly as you describe and roughly for the reasons you describe... just needs a bit more technical embellishment, low-end torque, etc.. It isn't to eliminate turbo lag as much as it's to give a more balanced and consistent power output across the rpm range.

Now, if you start talking twin-turbo or bi-turbo, you will get drawn into the esoterics of parallel twin-turbocharging, sequential turbocharging and staged turbocharging... all using (at least) two turbochargers. I called it twin turbo since for the laymen and even the salesmen, that is what they will call it. For example, here's how one of the Australian motoring publications describes it, "This pick-up truck combines a 2.0-litre twin-turbocharged diesel engine that provides 210bhp and 369lb ft." Note that it's not called a bi-turbo here but both you and I know that it is. Another publication states, "...the first Ford Ranger Raptor is powered exclusively by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder bi-turbo diesel outputs 157kW and 500Nm. ..." They're not wrong either.

If I said bi-turbo, then that gobby chap in Buriram with the purple Aventador would be on here calling foul.

Either way, the OP has already indicated that it's not what he needs.
