CityNews – A group of elderly people were arrested at their home after police caught them gambling.

 

On May 15th, police arrested five villagers in Ping Khong, Chang Dao.

Visiting an illegal gambling house is a bit risky.

 

They should have gone to one of the many "police approved" places. :whistling:

Saw one two days ago.

Looked like a fun fair with food carts, tables, chairs, about 30 cars wildly parked, maybe a 100 people.

Wife says it cost 10'000 Baht per day for the "approval".

Small gatherings cost 1000 or so.

Just sometimes the police is not fast enough to warn about raids by the military :biggrin:

And indeed, rarely in proper houses. More like out in the sticks, miles off the main highway.
