Guns not buns! Huge arsenal of weapons found in Chachoengsao cake shop

Police and the military raided a Chachoengsao Khanom Pia (small Chinese style bun) shop just 150 meters from the Ban Pho police station yesterday.

They found a large cache of war weapons, ammunition, explosive devices and C4.

Later the provincial governor Suwit Khamdee was seen at the police station with a large entourage including explosive ordnance experts.

Reporters were kept away.

Thai Rath said that a large number of cardboard boxes were seen suggesting that the cake shop may have been the center of a postal distribution network for the weapons.

There were no reports of arrests in their report.

Beware of your neighbors! Must have been a tip off by the old cleaning lady.

Unbelievable !

Yeah, really unbelievable....

The stuff found included C4 explosives.

Sounds like they took it all to the local cop shop.

Is that appropriate considering lot's of cops and civilians probably around?

Should it have been taken to a remote location?

without a detonator c4 should not be dangerous.

Bakeries are dangerous places. Once I stood on a fruit bun and a current ran up my leg.

My son liked those C4 energy bars.  Big splodeys if you use enough. I never paid attention to the cord in this pic before.  I think the other pic is an Italian birthday cake they found in Iraq.

They say you should at least have a thousand or so rounds in reserve. 2K better. This guy had maybe only 500

It just looks like a collection of old spare parts, there are no "receivers" visible nor any "trigger" groups? It looks very similar to other "Cache" finds that were used to cancel other elections!!  ?

There are at least 5 lower receivers, one in which you can see a hammer, which suggests a trigger and hammer group.  But the other receivers that I can see, do not appear to have internal parts.

There are several upper receivers, but I could not tell if they are working uppers.  Several barrels and just a lot of hand guards.

Those 3 ammo boxes  are full, but I cannot tell if the ammo is 5.56 x 45 mm or not.   I am leaning towards 7.62 x 51 mm rounds.

If 5.56, then about 1000 to 1500 rounds.  Not sure how many if 7.62 mm ..
