June 18, 20187 yr Does anyone know if there is an update to the Ford Everest 2.2+ to happen this year? And if so when?
June 19, 20187 yr July 10 is date I've seen for Thai launch. They are running discounts and promos for current model. Only mid-life update, so minimal changes on design front, but new 2.0 bi-turbe engine will hopefully launch here. Some other tech upgrades like keyless entry and start/stop, and some new saftey features. Modest rpice increases likely also.
July 5, 20187 yr Author Apparently the new 2.0 + Endeavour (Everest) has been unveiled in Australia. I've found shots showing the front and back changes from the current 2.2+ model. Has anyone come across shots of the interior changes /colours and confirmation the new model will have the new EcoBlue 2.0 engine?
July 5, 20187 yr They apparently haven't released any interior images. Ford Vietnam has released details of the keyless entry and engine start, new hid headlights and a few other items. New 2.0 engine is not coming to all markets, and it's not clear if will be released here. End Q3 launch in AU. Probably same here. I'm interested, but if no 2.0 then will shop for an alternative.

July 7, 20187 yr Author Hi DavisH, Can you direct me to where the news of the EcoBlue 2.0L is confirmed for Thailand please. Still no photos of new interiors?

Most probably this means they are still working on things. I read previously that TH would not be getting the 2.0 initially, as is the case for India and some other SEA markets. I really hope that not correct as I won't consider buying with the old 5-pot 3.2 engine. I'm also anxious to see what they release as I want to get a new car.

The google translate gives a good idea of what is on in that page. I expect the top spec 2.0 to exceed the price of the current 3.2
July 7, 20187 yr Author Thanx DavisH for the headlightmag site. I think Ford would have to keep the pricing close to the existing 2.2+ in order to not only to retain share, but grow it. If it even came close to the 3.2 price, I would see a major drop-off in interest.

I assume the details will be out tomorrow.

Could be worth a look.
July 10, 20187 yr New price for the Everest is 1.3 to 1.8 m baht. 2.2 is replaced by 2.0 180hp in 2wd form. Top spec is 213hp biturbo in 4wd form. It replaces the 3.2.

In 2wd versions, the new 2.0 single turbo is about 1.5km/l better than the 3.2. I would need to find the link, but must run now.

But we can see that in 2wd form the new motor does quite a bit better than the 3.2, at the same time having more hp and tq. I reckon bkk traffic will kill those figures though.

Ford NZ state: The Bi-Turbo offers a combined fuel economy of up to 7.1L/100km No mention of the model there, but safe to say the 2.0 is going to run significantly cheaper than the 3.2. Now next question - has anyone visited a Ford dealer yet to see if this thing can be booked? I'm wondering if they have any information at the dealers about this yet?
July 20, 20187 yr Ford.co.th website updated. New model brochure available for download. Went to main Phuket dealer yesterday. They had no info at all... "Sometime next month" was best I could get from them.
