Both the girls skin colour is pretty much the same , Naomi also had a blond pony tail in real life .

Although she does look skinier, thats what caricatures do

Accurate depictions of the ladies as they appeared at the time (probably more than 100 years ago).

 

In their culture, having the biggest backside is a matter of pride, similar to large breasts in the US today.

 

If the artist had reduced the size of their backsides to make them look more Western and sate your Western prejudice against mammoth butts, I'm sure the ladies would have been most upset and called the artist a "Colonial white honky racist", and they would have been right.

Many years ago, I went on a one week training in Singapore. 
I was called Caucasian, the lady sitting next to me Malay and so on ....
by race and Nationality, no offense taken nor intended.
Those were the days when one could call a 2 a 2 and a 1 a 1.
