By Asaree Thaitrakulpanich, Staff Reporter

BANGKOK — A pro-junta music video released in response to a wildly popular anti-establishment rap, was being slammed Monday by netizens countrywide.

Internet users were lambasting “Thailand 4.0,” a rap the military junta released last week, days after a track that harshly criticizes military rule went viral in the country.

And according to the report some people even liked it.

“Thailand 4.0” was presented Thursday at a government conference on business startups and played to introduce junta chairman Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha. It was released Saturday on YouTube. By Monday morning, the track had gained 1.3 million views and 20,000 dislikes in contrast to 871 likes.

Not exactly in the same league as the other song.

A bit like another shot in the foot.

A pro junta song, that one will be OK, then.

even my 11 yr old laughed when he heard this.

Sounds like two different songs being played at the same time.

Pathetic little creatures.

Only in Thailand could anyone release such drivel and expect it to be liked. Totally pathetic and laughable response to Prathet Gu Mee.

One was full of truth and was actually pretty good, while this is just rubbish in every aspect. Back to the writing board Mr. Prayut, because that is definitely not going to win you votes.

What we need is a rap battle. Get Prayut to sing prathet gu mee doo-ay (My country has got too) and rap us everything he has done that was actually good for the country, rather than him and his mates. Could be a bit difficult really getting in to a song less than 12 seconds long mind, cos he wont have enough content to go much longer.

Reading this again makes me feel like I am in the twilight zone, or perhaps watching an episode of Black Mirror.

Absolutely speechless.

The clowns in charge really have no shame

Now THAT is EMBARASSING..........

By definition rap cannot be pro junta, this is utter rubbish and shows how detached from reality some at the top really are.

Currently at 28,000 dislikes and 1,300 likes.   I don't think the Junta will like those stats! ????

What is that Thailand 4.0 stuff in reality? Something like: 4 years since the coup, still 0 (positive) change ...?

Junta Rap is what military music is to music. Lucky cat! This poor fella had no chance to escape:

To be fair, I thought it should be looked at, after 35 seconds it was nah! absolute rubbish - giving it the benefit of the doubt I held on till 1 minute - yet rubbish, garbage, crap, waste of time, a pathetic joke, corny and that's being kind.

It looked like a TrueVision/PTT/Mama Noodles commercial all wrapped in one

probably will have nightmares tonight...
