Chinese, English marine-safety signs go up in Pattaya

PATTAYA:--Pattaya tourist police have erected banners in Chinese and English to improve safety of swimmers and boat passengers.

 

Tourist Police Division Commander Pol. Lt. Col. Piyapong Ensarn said the dozens of Chinese killed or hurt this year on the water has been due to carelessness of boat operators and language barriers.

 

With that in mind, new signs have gone up listing safety measures, such as wearing life jackets. Stickers also are being made to put on boats and other vehicles.

IMHO surprising that they are putting up these signs making stickers etc with a date 1 Sept 2018, because I would have thought they would be highly embarrassed that the signs and stickers weren't in place at least 20 years ago.

And is there going to be any department enforcing this?

I thought not.

Signs+Public service announcemts, education from a young age, vounteers as watch dogs. Two of the most important pieces of puzzle are trained/equipped well-payed police.   

What does it say,look out for used condoms,those brown things in the water are not sea slugs?

....and like many of these inexpensive signs printed on a sheet of plastic, the signs will gradually fall apart before the year is over. 

Most of the Safety stickers to be intrioduced will end up on the back of Pickup Trucks .

And after 2 months the plastic dsigns will be rotted by the UCV rays from the Sun, and cause more pollution in the form of Micro Plastics

Ok, we put the sign up, time for a nap.  Schedule a crackdown in 6 months.  If you die, someone didn’t read it he huge sign we spent all day putting up
