Aussie tourist robbed at gunpoint after dumped by Phuket taxi driver

PHUKET: Police are searching for four suspects who robbed a 19-year-old Australian tourist at gunpoint after he was dumped by the side of a dark road in Phuket by a taxi driver.

 

Police are also looking for the taxi driver, confirmed Lt Col Kittipoom Tinthalang of the Thalang Police.

 

The tourist was identified as Terrance John White, of Innisfail, Queensland.

God. You guys have nothing worthwhile to say. Your best efforts at your ages is to chrisisricis a teenager from a place in the far north of Aussie with weather similar to where he is. Robably his first trip here. They walk around like this at his home. There is NO LAW against NOT wearing a top, it only Thai comments, and there is no LAW against OLD falang sitting around their rooms coming out with useless comments to ThaiVisa. 

Hope some of you owl women get better.

Not to stereotype... but the tuk-tuk & taxi drivers in Phuket are the most angry & crooked individuals around Thailand. Totally a different breed than the ones you find elsewhere in Thailand.

taxi drivers are scum

rob you themselves or set you up

charge you 3000 baht for a 5 minute drive down 3 streets

Green plated taxi's are limousines, they "do not" have meters.

 

A few holes in this story and I suspect a gofundme page, an insurance claim to fund the trip, a police report to cover an overstay or a young clueless idiot who has somehow lost his phone and money etc and making up a story to cover it.

 

No shirt at the police station says it all

 

If you are going to make up a story maybe check if tourists getting robbed at gunpoint is actually a thing that has ever happened.
