This is a special season in many ways, with a lot of surprising results. I think we can do it but you need to avoid injuries on key players etc.  But looking good so far.

See this is another example of my term pussified. Where is the guts and glory football fans. These cautionary wise words are not befitting of a football forum. You support your team you back them,

Who is your team again?

I made it QUITE clear that it was an observation..and yet  AGAIN your just reinforcing the absolute RIDICULOUS preciousness you and other Liverpool fans place on the team... As I pointed out to w... GET A GRIP..

3 minus 2, you made a statement that was incorrect. I don't know why you keep saying we need to "get a grip" or that we are blindly defending our team in the face of your incorrect observation.

Opta stats show that the top 2 teams for tactical fouling are City and Arsenal, interestingly Arteta being the prodigy of Pep. Liverpool are way down the list, with less than half that of City.

Here is an article which references FACTS.

That article takes its lead from an article in Feb 2020 by The Athletic which also states that

"The highest tactical foul rate measured in one game was Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur beating counter-attacking Crystal Palace 4-0 in September 2019. Of Palace’s 61 turnovers, 12 ended in fouls, a rate of 19.67 per cent."

On City:

"One Premier League coach explains that it is a function of City’s high pressing game. “I think it is a consequence of the early press,” he says. “You will make a foul. When a number of players in attacking positions high on the pitch lose the ball, and they react, then the risk of making a foul is higher. Especially because these are attacking players doing a defensive action. But you need to consider which phase of action the foul is. Is it Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling or Bernardo Silva, the first line of pressure? Or is it Fernandinho and the midfield? That is the second phase."

Correct, but not everyone has access to The Athletic, hence my posting of an accessible article with Opta stats for reference.

Messy...but top of the league will do.

A cracking goal from Kane that.

West Brom played out of their minds. Great header from Kane. One of the premier footballers in the world. If he would cut out the diving nonsense I'd send him a Christmas card.

Cracking cross.. keeper should have been out and taken it.. but hey.. west brom well organised, compact and made things dificult.. son was below par as was sissoko.. as soon as  Jose refreshed the front line and more.or less  gave us the extra man up front ,  it felt it was only a matter of time b4 someone scored either them on the break ornus through ramped up pressure..and even with our sluggish bac line they didn't have it in their locker.. and Hari yet again proved the diference. An ugly win but that's what Jose specializes in...sittin top accorin to NBC 1st time for six uears.  That'll do

for me bilic has to go down currently as the ugliest touchline prem manager he  really ought to look at his touch line  body language it's hardly inspiring or engaging

He looks like a frigging baboon .hunched rounded shoulders .unontrolled long dangling arms and limited body movement .. a young cool footballer lookin over and seein that...  Well its hardly inspirational.

I wish I had the time to go back in your history for all the times you slagged Jose off when he was at Chelsea and United ????
